Hi

I don't know if anyone can help me, when I was younger I read a book set in World War One following the life of a young nurse who worked on the front line. There are references to Edith Cavell in the book and of no man's land.

I last read it in 2003 so it was published a good few years before then. I can't remember the name of the book or the author although I do remember he was a male author writing from a female perspective.

On the front cover there was an old fashioned nurses hat and a gun, possibly on a table with a map.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions to what this book might be I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks :D
