Fisherdan Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 (edited) Hello Everyone, I'm looking for a pen that I can use for marking up and putting notes around my books that wont bleed through the thin paper. I'd also like one that needs minimal pressure to write to prevent indention through the back of the page. I would extremely appreciate it if you could give me some suggestions based on your experiences. I have a budget of around £15 (for 1), and ideally I would like red ink. I've had a look around and had my eyes on [removed link], but not sure if its suitable for thin paper. Thank you, Dan. I'm unsure how to edit posts on this forum, The link has come out wrong; Thanks again. Edited May 27, 2012 by frankie removed links. please see guidelines on posting on the forum. Quote
Michelle Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 You can't edit or share links until you have 10 posts. I assume you're looking at a Sharpie pen? Quote

Hayley Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I think it really depends on the quality of the paper in the specific book your writing on, the thin writing Sharpie pens are the only ones I can think of that might work but if the papers thin I think it will probably show though a little no matter what you use. What about using a mechanical pencil for books with thin pages? Hope you find something Quote
Brian. Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I would use a fine point Pigma Micron 05 made by Sakura. They are made for archiving so the ink won't fade. They are also specifically designed not to bleed through thin paper, also priced at about £3 they are well within your budget. I should add I have no affiliation with this company, I just like their pens. Quote
pontalba Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Pencil. Anything else I've tried shows through, and is most irritating. Quote
