Sorry that posted itself before I'd finished and I'm not sure how to go back and edit it! The pictures show the public library at Boot Mill in Eskdale, Cumbria. The restored mill is also home to perhaps the smallest but nicest public library in the UK, serving the 200 or so local residents and the nearby campsite. Anyone know of any other curious UK libraries?

I think the nicest library I've ever seen is in Swansea - it's a gorgeous library inside, and it has fabulous views of the Bristol Channel!

And from the outside it's hard to beat Stratford-upon-Avon's...

Yes, Stratford's looks particularly nice. I wonder if books appear better written if you're reading them in a nice location!
