    Wow Victorian fiction is such a big genre. I love Victorian fiction but mostly of the mystery type such as Sherlock Holmes, Rider Haggard, Lee Jackson's books etc. If you go to Amazon and click on Catherine Cookson - they often give recommendations of similar authors and you can see if any of those take your fancy.

  2. I bought a hardback book from Poundland today Martina Cole 'The Take', wonder if anyone has read this book and if it is worth reading, it sounds quite good.

     

    I have read a few of Martina Cole books including'The Take', they are exellent books when you have not read any of her work before, but can get a bit repedative from book to book.
