Watched Shutter Island last night....quite an odd film, still can't make up my mind if I liked it or not!!

And I third the recommendation of a Nicholas Sparks book, my personal favourite being 'A Walk to Remember'...sad but wonderfully written.

Hi Stephanie, yes it does start up again in the autumn, have got it all set up to record on my Virgin box so will have a look when it's due to start recording. Am also missing Damon, he is gorgeous...it's the eyes that do it for me!!

Hi, thanks for welcome! I don't really have particular favourite author etc but I do tend to go for the what my friend calls 'The Pink and Fluffy Books'.Can't beat a bit of romance and easy reading, so I suppose within this genre Nicholas Sparks is my fav. But have tried to broaden my horizons and have just recently read 'Black Like Me' by John Howard Griffin, which is far from pink and fluffy, and it is a book that has really opened my eyes. So I would ideally like to read more of these types and definitely some classics! How about you? What is your fave?

Thank you for your welcome! I have had a good look around at everyone's book reviews etc and have made quite a long list of books to read already! This is where I wished that I was a quick reader! lol But as you said it just matters that I enjoy and I do.

Just wanted to say hello and that I am rather excited about joining The Book Club Forum! Hoping to get some recommendations on what books to read.
