I can imagine it will take some time, but I'm sure it will be an enjoyable experience.
You're right about how easy it is to get books, although I think I'll still end up in the book shop finding ones I want before downloading them on my Kindle

Been a while since I've been on here, but I have been reading I promise! I just got a Kindle, so no doubt I'll be lurking about on here again
Anyway, December's reads. I've been going through a "I need an easy book to read" phase, so switched to some chick lit, albeit Christmas themed

I'm currently reading Christmas At The Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan, loving it, got about 90 pages to go, and drastically trying to finish it so I can get cracking on my new Kindle

Wow I hope I am lucky enough to have the same experience! I just hope I don't miss the feel and smell of a good paperback
Also, now I know this sounds strange, but I seem to have no idea what to read now. It's like there's suddenly a whole new world out there full of books and I can't choose what I want to read! I think it's because you can put so many books on it, where as normally I have a to read pile of a handful. (Drastically reduced it from about 60 not long back!) -
Just wanted to share with everyone that I have just received a Kindle as an early 21st birthday present. My Grandma bought us both one for my birthday. Any excuse so she could finally get one
Now I'm desperately trying to finish the book I'm reading so I can start reading on the Kindle. I hope I will be a convert as it is very handy indeed. I'm just not sure if it's going to be the same though... -

Finished reading "Step on a crack" by James Patterson and now 30 pages in to "Run for your life" by James Patterson. After reading "Private", I just can't get enough of James Patterson! Simple reading I suppose. Nice for a change.
Recently finished "Anno Dracula" by Kim Newman, that was awesome.

Oh I wish I could be reading Harry Potter for the first time
As a 19 year old who absolutely hated Harry Potter when it first came out, I am really surprised by how much I now love these books. I swear they are wasted on children.
I've just finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and now debating on whether to go ahead with the next Harry Potter book, or to have a break from it and read Room by Emma Donoghue which I bought the other day... Hmmm decisions, decisions.

Gave in and just bought the 2nd Harry Potter book from Amazon. Counting down the days until it gets here now. Not sure whether or not to start another book whilst I wait...

Just finished Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone. Absolutely loved it. Now to hunt down the rest of them in Waterstones. I want them now, but can't find any of them in shops in Leeds City Centre. Don't want to have to wait for delivery! Wow, I am so impatient.

Bought the first Harry Potter yesterday. Always stayed away from the series, for some reason telling myself I wouldn't like it. Over half way through already and loving it. Makes a change from the amount of Dan Brown books I've been reading lately!

I agree with The Book Thief. It was very easy reading, light, but definitely made you think. It didn't fulfil all my needs to be honest, but it was a very good read.

After finishing Flu by Wayne Simmons a month or so ago, and unfortunately forgetting all about this thread, I can now properly recommend it. It was a great book, and there's a sequel coming soon.

Read 50 pages of Flu last night, and this morning I'm catching a train from Leeds to Manchester Picadilly, and then I have a 40 minute wait until my next train at Picadilly... Plenty of time for reading

Getting near the end of This Alien Shore.
I had the same kind of reaction to The Book Thief, kezlehan.
It just didn't seem to go anywhere. All the reviews I read said how great it was. I failed to see anything great. I'll admit it was a good read, and for some reason I did find it hard to put down, but I'm wondering if that's just because I wanted to get to the end...

Just finished The Book Thief. Was a bit disappointed with the ending if I'm honest. The whole thing seemed a little too long winded. But it was a decent read. Going to start on Flu by Wayne Simmons next I think.

Read 20 pages or so of The Book Thief this morning, hope to get it finished today before my week long trip to Manchester tomorrow, so I can start a new one on the train down

I'm really loving Jenny Colgan and Trisha Ashley at the moment. I just finished Christmas at the Cupcake cafe which was brill, and just started The Magic of Christmas by Trisha Ashley.
