  1. Thank you, Abby. *sends a hug back*

I am well, How are you doing?

  2. I visited your profile today, and it would be rude of me not to say hello. So, hello. :) The Kindle is great, isn't it?

  3. I sent you a friend request. I hope you are well. :)

  4. Thanks for replying. I have just the one cat. His name is Ulysses (Uly) for short. He is a sweetheart. Glad you are doing well.

  5. No, I have never read Ulysses. My cat had that name before I adopted him. The book is in my TBR pile, though. Have you read it and, if so, what did you think?

  6. Playing my kazoos and cowbells

  7. Yes, thank you!

And thank you for the compliment on my poem. :D

Yes, I think I will be sticking around. Everyone is very friendly.

  8. I thought I sent a response to this, but I think I screwed it up. Anyway, I am fine. Thank you for asking! :)

  9. I would love to hear what you think of it after you have read it. Please let me know. :)

  10. Oh, no. That's okay. If I get paranoid, that's just because I'm...well..paranoid.

    But me...saying something interesting?

  11. I guess you are right. That is the trouble with social anxiety. I often fear I am being judged negatively, even when there is no evidence of such judgment. *sigh*

  12. Just a few words of wisdom about religion:

Read the four gospels in the New Testament if you are so inclined. Those are the ONLY words in the Bible worth reading. The rest of the Bible is rubbish, in my opinion. If religious types actually read and understood what are in those gospels, they would truly be the wiser for it. The story of Jesus has much wisdom in it. It is people that misinterpreted it that built a religion around it. It was the message that mattered, not the messenger.

May you find peace in your life, whatever you choose. :friends0:

  13. Just stopping by to say hi.

    How are you doing? :)

What if the dinosaur doesn't want to be walked? Huh? And if EVERYBODY walked the dinosaur, wouldn't the dinosaur collapse in exhaustion? What good is he then? Huh? Think about that. Dinosaur hater! So there! :P

  15. I'm tired of the heat. :(

  16. Thanks, Brida. :) I am leaning towards The Alchemist, and even if I don't read it next, I WILL read it. It is in my TBR pile.

  17. Hi, CaliLily.

Don't feel any pressure to respond. Respond only and if you want to. I am really understanding that way. It's one of the blessings of social anxiety. Wow! Oddly enough, years ago I had thought about becoming a nun. Not really that seriously, though. Anyway, yes, I can relate to changing as a person and sometimes, unfortunately, that means you can't always hold on to the friends you thought you had. Such is life.

I'm okay, I guess. I would just rather be anywhere else than work. I am not sure if this is because of my social anxiety or just wanting to do the things I enjoy without feeling pressured.

  18. Oh, if I could choose my career! That's easy. Writing. Unfortunately, I don't have the discipline. Perhaps for short stories, but there isn't much of a market for them.

I may vent some day, but for now I don't have the time because I must be off to work soon. I do have tomorrow off again, though. :D

  19. I remember some of your posts in the Mature Discussion area and your gorgeous writing. I haven't seen you around. It seems others are worried. I hope you are okay. :)

  20. Hi, Kylie.

I haven't read The Count of Monte Cristo yet, but it is in my pile of books. It is one I am greatly looking forward to reading, as well as the rest of the Musketeer books. I have only read two Dickens so far, Barnaby Rudge and Great Expectations, but I loved both and want to read all of his work eventually.

So far I am enjoying the forum immensely. It is my type of place!

I am from the USA, by the way, and I notice this is a UK forum. I hope that is okay. :D

  21. Well, you might be safe because you don't have the annoying Yankee accent that I have ;)

Hmmm, Bleak House and The Old Curiosity Shop would be hard to choose from. I would pick Bleak House, but then maybe that should be the last Dickens book to read because it is so long and has often been mentioned as one of his best.

    Dilemmas! :motz::lol:

  22. Hi, frankie. I realized you weren't on my friend's list, so I thought I would add you.

    Hope you are well. :)

  23. Pixie

LOL, Echo. I promise not to do it again. :P

  24. Don't worry. I'll let you know how things go with the "lunch date", as long as it's nothing too personal. ;) lol

  25. Happy birthday! And many more. :)
