  1. I'd live with the elves of LotR in Rivendell or Mirkwood:mrgreen:
  2. Hey everybody, I saw Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell a few days ago in a bookshop. It grabbed my attention because its foreword was written by Neil Gaiman who highly praises the book and who is one of my favourite authors. So I wondered if any of you have read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and would recommend it. The story, from what I've read on the back, sounds interesting enough. I thought it would be a nice book to bring along for my Interrail trip with my friends in July (a long, interesting book for many hours in a train;)) - moreover, we'll spent most of our time in England, maybe even in towns where the story takes place. If, however, the book is boring, I'll have to force my way through it or buy on my way another one, which will make my backpack even heavier... So it would be nice to hear what you think about the novel. Thanks in advance, Turin
  3. I think I read the first four Harry Potter books at the age of ten - I can't think of another fantasy book that I read at an earlier age.
  4. I'm Turin (it has become the name I prefer to use on the internet, taken from Tolkien's story of Turin Turambar), I'm eighteen years old and live in Vienna. I love reading and, over the years, it has become a part of my life I can't imagine to live without. I'm a big fan of fantasy, and you'll find me on the fantasy board of this forum most of the time, but I also love reading classic literature (it's my big aim to have read at least one book of each well known, classic author). Lately, I also discovered thrillers like those of Henning Mankell and especially Austrian thrillers (do you actually say "thriller" for a detective story in English??), which I can highly recommend. So, that's it for the time being, I'm looking forward to talking to you soon!! Turin
