[Your first job]

My first paying job was in a library. It lasted 6 months. I checked all the av-material (e.g dvd's, vhs's, audio books and so on). It was hard work but quite nice.

[Where do you get your books?]

I used to use library a lot. I also bought my hardcover books from local bookshops. Now I have started to buy paperbacks because I can have more books a lot cheaper. I found an online shop where almost all the books are couple of euros cheaper so I use it a lot.

[How many books do you read at once?]

I voted 3+. At the moment I have started at least five books. I always have two in my purse so I can read when I go to work/home and then I have one in my nightstand. I also have one in toilet and one in kitchen. So yea, there's many many books I read at once.

[How long do you take in a bookshop?]

I rarely visit bookshops! I almost always buy my books online. But when I go to bookshop to kill some time it takes no more than half an hour. I just check the books on sale or paperbacks.

[Unfinished books.. will you pick them up again?]

Well, I rarely go back to books I abandon. Usually those books are picked up from library and I know nothing about them. If couple of first pages are boring I don't even try to read it.

I completely forgot to tell about my favorite books and authors! Silly me!

 

At the moment I'm mainly reading chic lit. Sophie Kinsella is my favorite author, but I also enjoy Lauren Weisberger's books (excluding Devil wears Prada). I used to read a lot of Sci-fi too. Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End is something I want to read again and again. From fantasy genre I (of course) like Harry Potter series. I'm not big fan of fantasy thou.

It was really nice to find an active discussion forum. Even thou my English isnt't that good I try to be post as much as I can.

 

I'm 25 year old lady from Finland, Europe. Literature has been my passion from the day one I learned to read. Before that my mother used to read me a lot and I just continued to do so. (Thanks mommy!) When I was a kid I always borrowed at least 15 books from our local library and read everything really fast. I also wrote my own little stories and poems. My dream was to be a librarian when I grow up.

 

When I grew up I worked in a library for a year! Now I'm working in our university library's office.. so kind of a librarian still.. Unfortunately I don't have much time to read anymore but there's always atleast two books waiting me.
