  2. Just finished 'On Beauty' by Zadie Smith. I really enjoyed it but I think a lot of it was down to the fact I work in a university and this is where the majority of the book it set! I've read White Teeth as well but that was ages ago so I can't remember is they were that similar.

  4. I don't think I'm being overly critical with my scoring - I just think that book have to be great in many different ways to 'earn' 5/5!!

  8. I've already started to get through my tbr pile. I'll do a quick update seeing as we are now in a new month! 9. I can read almost anywhere but I try not to read in bed because I can usually only manage a page before I fall asleep! Got to have a cuppa while I'm reading to keep me going. If I know I'm going to have a quiet moment or two in the day I'll always pop my book in my bag just in case... The more battered and creased the better I think for my books - surely if the spine is creased it is a symbol that you have read the book? I hate borrowing books from people who like to keep their books pristine, it means I cant take them in the bath!
  10. Thanks Vodkafan - I'll check it out now. MrsM
