  1. Those threads probably should come with a warning! I'm watching Masterchef and it's having the same effect :D Enjoy your cuppa!
  2. *does the Larry David stare of suspicion for several moments*

    ...Ok, I believe you :D

  3. And Daron from System had a brilliant 'two-pointer' beard going on. You could surely write a whole thesis based solely on that band's hair/facial hair! Crazy guys. I didn't talk to Nick, I was too scared  He did slip us a little smile though! Yeah, if you Google it you can see him in all his glory

It's just as well you're not bored, 'cause now I know you don't mind, I'll be back with every little bit of Josh/Queens/beard related news/excitement that noone else wants to listen to :D:tong:

  4. It's so easy to slip in these cringeworthy phrases though, I find myself coming out with really embarrassing ones at time - I've no idea where they come from and even worse, can actually think of no suitable alternative! We'll just have to pretend that we're saying them facetiously :D

I adore the video for Go With the Flow! It's one of my favourite music videos. First it Giveth and The Sky is Fallin' have a really good sound I think, and the radio bits between the tracks are cool. Yep, it'll definitely be going on tonight :D

  5. Ah that must've been crazy having two landmark birthdays so close together! Your poor mum  I'm glad you had a good time, and I don't blame you for having an early night - that's definitely the sort of thing I'd end up/prefer doing :D

The play was about four different ghost stories, there was a lot of loud, jumpy bits which I think was the worst thing! At least everyone else was jumping so I didn't feel quite as silly!

  6. Dio has rocked for a long long time. Now it's time for him to pass the torch!

    :(

  7. Exactly. How anyone could even consider disrespecting the Homme, I don't know! I really need to see Queens live - I saw Josh with Them Crooked Vultures and he was really very awesome :D

Ah, you've a lot of Josh to catch up on, lucky you! I think I prefer earlier Queens stuff but it's all good and I eagerly await a new album!

  8. Haha :D Do you respect wood, ned?

I worked out how you may have sabotaged my post, by the way...

    WITH MIND BULLETS!

(sorry, it came to me, and I had to write it) :(

  9. Hello! Thanks for the request, and thank you for reminding me of that hilarious Extras scene! I'm still laughing about it now

Did you manage to finish Let The Right One In yet?

  10. Hello. Have you heard the good news?

(Don't worry, I'm not talking about Jesus)

  11. Hey there! How's it going? So what have you done with your unexpected day off? All is well over here, despite the fact that I still had work!

Erm...Snow! (Sorry, it didn't seem right not using the 'S' word. In fact I think it might now be illegal not to drop it into a conversation) :D

  12. Hey, Charm! Thanks for the add :D

    Ooh, its pretty here!

  13. Hey!

Well I'm about 100 pages into it and I'm really enjoying it. It's a really interesting mix of history, legend and mystery. It's very detailed and there's a lot of suspense. A real page turner so far! I hope you enjoy it too.

  14. I think it's a perfectly reasonable question, curb or no curb! ;)

Although, I think probably most of the stuff written on our profiles is gonna look pretty weird to the untrained eye. You crazy Yak killer, you...

  15. I've not seen the video in ages and then the other day I suddenly had the thought: 'Hold on, why did my friends and I used to go around referring to each other as 'my hard-rocking amigo'?!

I just knew it HAD to be the D (who else?!) and then remembered that bit in the video :D

I take comfort in the fact that you're that little bit sadder than me though ;)

(I just posted that on my own page :lurker:)

  16. Just remember who wrote that song... Me, baby, ME! Next song! NEXT!

 I could quote the D all day.

  17. Oh cool, I've got that one on my shelf but have yet to read it - you'll have to let me know what you think once you have :D

    Happy reading! :readingtwo:

  18. Ordinarily I'd frown upon the use of that phrase, but given that it's been used in relation to an utterly cool-awesome* album, I'll let you off ;) Do you have a favourite track from it? It's difficult, they're all so good and flow so well! Now I'm gonna have to stick it on in the dark later, damn you! :D

Yeah I read Birdsong for school and I was very impressed, what with the epic war scenes and also the stuff back home in France etc. Gotta love the Faulks!

*And hope you'll do the same for me

  19. Serj's solo stuff yes, Daron's band - no! Hm, I think I'll have to investigate this :D Ooh cool, I bet they put on a performance don't they?!

Yeah tis a shame they've not done anything for a while (though I can't believe Hynotize was about 4-5 years ago now?!) and as for a new album and ruling the world, we can live in hope! :D

  20. Some of the best scenes are with Darren and 'Barry off Eastenders' I like how Robbie gets to be called by his real name though!

Ooh not too much more to go - well done for not burning it :D

I just finished Jane Eyre, I can't believe I'd not read it earlier, I loved it. Now onto The Eyre Affair!

Do you know what you're going to read once Let The Right One In is done and dusted?!

  21. That's a good way of doing it! Those two tracks are good, and were the singles from the album as well so there must be something about them. Have you tried their debut self-titled album or Lullabies to Paralyze? A lot of people seem to forget about the first album but it's my favourite by far :D

No shoe  I was pretty far away from the stage, but I reckon that wouldn't have stood in his way if I'd :censored: him off :D

  22. That's true! I think Shavo had a better beard though. But then again, I don't think Shavo ever played naked on stage like Nick so.... :D I once stood next to Nick at the bar of a pub! That was a good day.

Yeah, I must get tickets if this happens! It'd be my first time seeing them and for it to be a tour of their first album would be pretty cool!

I have enjoyed these Queens filled convos :D I think most would be more than a little bored of it by now!

  23. The No One Knows vid is a classic :D Those were the good old days when Nick Oliveri was still in the band! Heh the radio bits are crazy. I hope I don't fall asleep when I'm listening to it later, if I wake up to that it might just freak me out a little bit!

ARGH, look what I've just seen on Wiki:

In a 2010 interview, Josh Homme revealed that the band would re-release their self-titled first album, and that they would do a tour in support of this, only playing songs from their first release.

    :b7ydance:

  24. Yeah he doesn't take any s**t, does Josh :D I never got the whole throwing stuff at the stage thing

Haha I just re-watched the clip of that, he goes completely mental doesn't he?! And ends up throwing it back at him

Ooh yes, do check out Eagles. I recommend Wanna be in LA, Anything 'Cept the Truth, Cherry Cola... All of them really, you can't go wrong :D

  25. Ah I'd forgotten about that, I saw it first time round. Can I assume you're not so much of a Gervais fan?! I wanna see it again, might have to watch it in parts on the ol youtube :D I also wanna see 'Whatever Works' the Woody Allen film that LD was in.
