Aww, Its so good to hear from you! I've had better days, to be honest. Just had a very emotionally overwhelming phone call from my grandma. She was diagnosed with skin cancer, the first out of my whole blood related family to ever have any kind of cancer. I'm just floored and unsure of how to react, what to say, what to do... At least skin cancer is fairly treatable and she actually just had some of the spots removed today. It sounds like she has known about it for a couple months.

I'll have to check out his Twitter page when I get home from work in a bit (we're not supposed to Tweet or get on Facebook @ work... boring...) Thats too bad its not a good pic. Maybe he's not too photogenic.

I usually look for stuff, usually in nature but sometimes in people's expressions, that are usually overlooked by others. Some people see a mushroom growing in their yard and think 'what a nussiance'. I like to get down there and give it a chance to be seen as an object of beauty and intrigue rather than just a fungus.

What a sweet little thing. I hope she starts liking the new one soon. Kids are so fun when they're that age.

Aah, that means you have the hamster at home and all set up then, aye?

I'm just looking forward to a nice regular weekend at home. Its not a bank holiday over here so I don't get any extra days off, unfortunately and my family really aren't big into the whole holiday-lets-get-together thing. I plan on making a little personal size pie and a nice meal and will probably do a few projects I've had on the table for a while.

I've had better days. Right now I'm thinking of pouring myself a Jack and Coke and it is only 11:30 am. Might just bury my head in the sand... er... a book instead for a few hours.

That's a very good sign Its really interesting to see how stories seem to come from out of nowhere and take us on such an incredible journey. I love the thought that as writers we like to think that we're in charge, but we're not. We're simply a tool in which the story is given life through.

Poetry is such a powerful form of writing. It never fails to amaze me how so much emotion can be poured into something as small as a haiku.

That's great! I hope one of them works out for you Ooh, how party sounds fun! My day has been good... just been working away here in my cubicle. Everyone is a little crazy because of the weather so there have been many odd stunts including helium sucking (from our Christmas balloons) and my boss running around in a tiara waiving a talking princess wand. Never a dull moment here...

Finally awake and ready to start the da- wait... what do you mean it's almost 10:30pm?!?!?!

Ouch! Ugh, I hate seeing people shoeless in bars. If you can't walk in them, don't wear them. Glad you had a good night.

Oh noes! I hope the little guy starts feeling better soon. Poor thing.

Its great to hear the kids are doing so well at keeping the hamster all well kept and stuff. Hopefully they keep it up for the next 2 weeks.

They laid off a few people in my area so I think they are just trying to lighten the mood a bit. To be honest, I'm a bit ****** that they are letting people go and I'm working enough hours for 2 employees. Its so cold here that my fingers actually stuck to the front door of my apartment building this morning This weekend is supposed to warm up a bit so that will be nice. Yay for no snow! Did you get out for a jog or anything?
