I know that some time ago, someone open a thread about him.
But, I would like to open a new one.
This author as the most wicked mind I found in books,everything that happen in his books are wild and enormous.
He even manage to put a little something to make us think and remember some events that happen in history.
He wrote a series of 11 books and 1 extra story.
He now start a new trilogy (I think).
I would like to know who share my opinion and who believe the contrary.

I didn't really enjoy reading before sixth grade.
So, one of the first book that I read was a Stephen King.
I think it was The Storm Of The Century.
In fantasy, it was Terry Goodkind two years ago.
(I try before, but I tought, wrongly, that fantasy books were boring.)
In sci-fi it was Simon R. Green.
(I know its not completely sci-fi, but he mixed every type together.)

I can't says that I enjoyed the movies made from the Stephen King novels.
I found them much more scary in books, and there is no change.
Stephen King his the authors of my two favorite books:
The dark Half and The Storm Of the Century.
(I actually enjoyed the TVserie of The Storm of the Century, the demon was play by my one of my favorite actors) ^.^

I just finish reading Wonderful World by Javier Calvo. (I'm not sure about the author name)
It's a ''realistic'' fiction, but some passages leave you disturb.
Some parts are too horrific and too much detail to read.
I can't even says if I like it or not..
The storyline is interesting, but some parts were unnecessary.

I read many books at the time, I now it's not the best way since you
can easily forget the storyline, but for my books at least, I never forget.
So, demanding on my schedule, the number of books passed from 3 to 6.
I'm happily suffering from insomnia, so it's easier to just read at night to pass time.

I do the same thing, concerning the spine.
I'm very careful with how I read them.
I usually use the recite (or bill) so like that I can start right away.
I used to have big bookmarks that I adore, but I somehow manage to lose them...

So I use small sheet, no bigger then credit cards, as bookmarks.

I can't answer for sure because I'm a special type of reader.
I'm sure am not the only one, but I'm the one of the maniacs who read
many books (for me it's 6) at the same time, so depending on the
amount of free time I have, the number change.
I usually finish half of them before the end of the week.
I usually read at night too.

I'm a 27 years old man who just been told that he his the target of deadly killers, the same that propably killed his father and made his mother insane, small detail : they come from a parallel universe.. O.o
I can hardly lift my nose from the book! lol

I just finish The Glass Books Of The Dream Eaters by Gordon Dalhquist.
I can't wait to read the next one.

I've read all of the Percy Jackson and The Olypians books and I love them!
You easily get caugth in the story and you enjoy the ride from start to finish.

I'm not use to make forum presentation, but I hope I'll do okay. ^^
My nickname is BooksForLunch, since none of my friends or family as ever see me without a book in my hands anywhere or at anytime.
I'm 20years old, since April.
I live in Canada.
I'm studying in history.
I have this, a hope realisable, dream to go to Scotland one day.
And I love reading of course, both in french and english.
And that's about it, I guess.

I think you're absolutely right about skipping some those two novels.
I enjoy Terry Goodkind, but he sometimes but to much words for nothing.
His a wonderful writer, I'm reading his new book "The Law Of Nines".
If you know his others books, you're in for a surprise..
