  1. Just one for me. I also seem to read more in the summer too. When the suns out, I just like to sit in the garden and read.
  2. 14 for me. Although, I think with some I've read bits to my children. Has anyone read all the bible?
  3. I want to do Beef Wellington tomorrow, but have only cooked it a couple of times, and not with massive success. Any tips?
  4. Cook up some pasta - quick, easy, tasty - better than a sarnie
  5. I think there's very few examples of the book/film being as good as the film/book! Just waiting to see what the rest of the Harry Potter films will be like.

  7. Chicken fajitas tonight, with guacamole, salsa, soured cream, grated cheese and salad. A nice bottle of somthing to go with it too...
  8. I've read the book and seen the film - both had me in floods of tears
  9. Francesca Simon, the author of Horrid Henry, did a book signing at our local Waterstones a couple of weeks ago. We were all very impressed that she took the time to talk to the children and write their names etc in the books. She was also there for twice the amount of time she should have been. I have been to signings before and been disappointed, but a big thumbs up to Francesca. The most important thing is to encourage children to read and enjoy
  10. The Horser Whisperer. The ending of the book and film are completely different. You get to the end and think "what..."

    Hi there

Hi all, Thank you for the welcomes. I like to read all sorts of books. I read Blackberry Wine recently by Joanne Harris, which I loved. Lord of the Rings is another favourite and, of course, the Harry Potter books. The thing with those is they're so addictive, I get them on the day they're published and have finished them within a day or 2. Debbie
