Midsummer sounds cool....especially the secondhand book shops. There's just something about those places isn't there. As far as I'm aware we don't have much celebration in the way of midsummer....well i've never noticed it anyway which is a shame.

I hope you prove me wrong with LTROI as I really want it to be good. Maybe I just missed something. You'll have to read it to see what you think. Roxi started to read it not long ago too!

The book was like Lestat. The ending is really good but it's an uphill struggle to get there. It's really good and bad too! You don't get this with Jeffrey do you! I'm really interested in seeing the film though to see what all this hype is about. It's been so long since I've read chick-lit. Must be a nice change from serial killers, murders and skullduggery (sounds menacing!)

I'm sure your getting into shape will pick up again. The most important thing is not to give up after a couple of slips. It's such hard work so you're allowed to get disheartened from time to time. Weightwatchers is going ok but I'm about to crack! eeeeek! But I've lost 5 and a half pound so far so I'll keep going.....boooo hisssss!

Whitby is lovely.....which is another reason you should move to England for your studies! :D:D

It's pretty heavy going.....I'm almost done and I must say that I'm having to push myself through it. I've got some time this afternoon so I'm trying to get it finished by then. The only thing that's keeping me going is the hope that Louis finds out about Lestat being back....he may make an appearance.

It's definitely not as good as Interview With the Vampire but has had a few good points. I'm finding myself re-reading paragraphs as I'm losing concentration in places. It's not as gripping as IWTV, with lots of flashbacks to ancient Egypt and Rome which is interesting but not really want I like to read about. I was hoping for more story about Lestat being back with mobs of angry vampires (and hopefully Louis) chasing him and that's certainly not what's happening.

If it doesn't work out for you I can give you the general overview so you still know the story?

How are you? I take it you're very well considering you've had all those episodes to watch So what's happening at the moment? Have you seen the 'Welcome to Scranton' day for the newcomers? or the George Foreman grill episode? How exciting!

Your BF is such a sweetie! That's lovely and the fact that he's gone to the trouble of making a little dwight head on it too shows he's one to keep I can't wait until you get to the end.....at the moment I'm holding back in case you haven't seen certain episodes and I don't want to spoil it for you but I'm near to bursting

Well, you've missed the release of Twilight on DVD so everyone's been chatting about the extras (not sure if you've seen them yet but oh my goodness the deleted scenes are a bit.....rude! I can see why they were cut!! haa!) Also there's a pretty cool forum called something along the lines of 'off-topic by the Queen of Off-topic'. It was started by ii and so far it's covered men, icecream, men, make-up and george clooney....

How's you? I've been away for a few days to see Ross's parent's. Had a few sneeky peeks at what was going on but not long enough to reply. It's sooooooo sunny here! Just sat outside making the most of it.

It is getting a bit wearing isn't it! I know he's good looking and I really like him myself but come on people..........it can sometimes go a bit far can't it! haa!! On youtube there's some random man/woman (not entirely sure) singing a song about how Bella chose the guy he/she wanted. And another woman who has styled herself completely on Alice singing about Jasper the Vampire boy......very weird!!

I've been busy too! The weather's been fantastic here so I've been out and about. I've also just finished The Blue Nowhere by Deaver.....I couldn't pull myself away from it! Have you read this one? It was really fantastic!

Sounds like you've got a busy few days ahead of you! It seems like so much fun...I'm green with envy! We're at Alton Towers this weekend which is a theme park about 3 hours from where I live (It's on my list of places to visit this summer so it's all good!) It's my friend's birthday so all the girls are heading there for a day of fun and taking the boys along too. Some people are camping but we're driving down early as I'm not really a camping type of girl. Did it a few years ago and I just spent the whole time being cold and hungry......the toilet issue is also a pain! Ooooh I'm off to London on the 16th July!!!! We've got two nights in the capital so I'm going to buy a tour guide and make a list of things we want to see. Eeeeek!

My Mother moved house recently (she finally moved in with my Stepdad even though it was for such a short period) and she's been sorting through all the junk left at her house by me and my Sister. Anyway, my Sister has just brought over 2 huge boxes of books that I totally forgot about! I've no idea where they're going to go but I can't wait to delve into them to remember stories I read ages ago! Heee! It reminded me of you and your Making Waves books......lets hope there's a few forgotten gems eh!! :D

How are you? Reading is going well! I've just made my way through the Harry Potter books and now I'm reading The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory which I can't put down! I'm feeling a 10/10 coming along.....seriously!! Oooooh Good Omens! Ah it's brilliant! When do you think you'll get it started?

The weather is really weird here. One minute it's really hot and I'm getting a tan....the next minute thunder, lightening and rainstorms. Crazy! I'm glad to hear you've been having the sun over your neck of the woods! It sounds like you had an amazing time in Helsinki!

Really really can't wait to go to London now! eeeeek! I'm on a really tight budget until the end of September so I'll have to watch my pennies unfortunately. Hopefully I'll buy a nice little something to remember the trip buy but clothes shopping doesn't look good

Thanks for that I'm not really put off by film tie-in covers....I never really thought about it until I noticed that so many people in the forum dislike them. I like a nice cover (especially textured covers for some reason) but I suppose it's whats inside that counts!

How were your Mayday celebrations? And how you getting along with Making Waves? I definitely don't remember it being like that when I was a teenager....I was obsessed with the same boy from the age of 11 until I was about 20! He kept asking me out so I'd say yes.....then he wouldn't talk to me so I'd break up with him. A few weeks would pass and he'd ask me out again....I'd say yes and he still wouldn't talk to me! That went on until I was about 16! Then he spoke so all good!! So yeah....I think the author must think that's what teenagers want to hear....or maybe they were what we Geordies call a 'floozy' in their teenage years!

It's lovely today! I feel sorry for all those runners in this heat! Haa!

Well the river runs parallel to the road that the main bulk of the runners are on, and I live overlooking the river so I keep catching glimpses of them through the trees. The Red Arrows have just been by and there are helicopters flying around......it's really strange seeing the local area on tv!

I hope you get some of this lovely weather today too
