Oops...sorry about the 'x'. Reflex action. Must control my dancing fingers. Sorry.

Advanced years?!?!? You're less than a year younger than me! I am wounded! Only last night, my bass player in my band (a 19 year old lass) suggested that I wouldn't be able to remember doing my A-levels. Cheeky cow.
I wonder when I became 'old'...jeez...I think I'm beginning to slump a bit...hang on...is that a middle-age crisis I see approaching at a frightening speed? I might have to buy a Porche to escape it...
Something's definitely going on with my self-esteem, though. I keep thinking "Here I am, 35 years old, still looking after adults with learning disabilities, still earning very little, still single (well - divorced) and still not going anywhere".
I need a pill.
Or something.
Hope you're not as grumpy as me, my old friend.

Hello. No, I'm not going on holiday, it's just that I always feel a bit rude if I just sign off without saying 'bye' and 'thanks'. I thought I'd start a thread that achieved that aim.
Mind you, I'd love a holiday, if you're offering
Have a lovely weekend, chum!

I have. I love Conan Doyle. There's a great book that features the man himself called Arthur And George by Julian Barnes which is (I think) based on fact. It's gripping, exciting and paints a lovely picture of the famous author. I'm sure you'd like it.

Woohoo! Hello, Sarah. Just whizzing through to go 'yo yo yo' and then crack on with cooking me dinner. I hope you're very, very well, my friend and that you've had a splendid weekend.
Pip pip and toodles for now.

Giulia. Greetings. So, here is the weekend. I am about to leave the house to teach music to nice kids, so this is good. I've put a bolognaise together in the slow cooker for later (smells really good already!) when my actual father is coming round with wife number four. She's practically a biscuit older than me. He returned from self imposed exile in Greece a few weeks ago. This will be the first time he's been to my home since he left when I was five. I feel a little...erm...conflicted? I think he wants to build some bridges, which is fine with me, so we'll see how this goes, eh?
How are you doing, lovely lady? I think I'm coming down to London Village in a month or so, so we can go for that coffee and maybe point and laugh at other people?
Take care and have a lovely weekend. x

Morning Michelle. I hope you're well. I've been writing some tosh for a while and wouldn't mind the opinion of some of the members here - you know, to see if it's worth while me persevering with it or not. How do I go about it putting a little of it to certain people? Also, how the heck do I start a thread? I'm not amazingly technically minded, I'm becoming to realise. Have a good day (if you're reading this in the morning, if not, have a great afternoon and an even better evening!)

I love the fact that he writes about dogs as well. He wrote a great book called One Door Away From Heaven which focuses on a dog as a main character. It suggests that dogs are closer to God because their souls are more pure and noble than humans' - I'm inclined to agree!
Good luck on Thursday, Paula. X

Hi Ben. How're things with you? I'm assuming you are at school at this time. I'm off sick today (as I was yesterday) - I seem to have caught a reasonably unpleasant stomach bug. Last week I was away with 40 Y7's on a residential outdoor activity week. Now, this sort of thing is totally my bag, but I managed to get about sixteen hours sleep over the whole period, which has probably made me run down a little. I was out on the hills with the scouts all weekend as well.
I need my head read.

Afternoon. I think Danny Wallace is one of my heroes. I loved his book Join Me. I thought he was great in Are You Dave Gorman? as well.
Because of Join Me I still perform random acts of kindness on a Friday (other days as well, if the spirit grabs me!)
Good on ya, mate. Hope you have a splendid weekend.

La la laaaa! Hello Beth! How's the networking...erm...working, lady? I hope you're having a super time.
I'm tremendously busy at the mo, but am off sick with a rather unpleasant stomach bug - most likely a result of being so busy. But it's mostly outdoor stuff, teaching young folk how to do stuff in the wild. Love it. Not complaining. Only my stomach is.
Take good care, my friend. x
