  1. Hi there. Marley & Me was...interesting. I spent some of the film taking my service users to the loo several times, then de-choking one of them, who had decided to empty the contents of his popcorn box down his throat. However, at the end I found it very difficult to maintain a dignified composure. Honestly, there were tears...How're you doing?

  2. All is well, really, ta. I love Wildlife Parks. We get to go reasonably regularly at work, because my dudes are very fond of animals. I'm quite lucky doing what I do, even if it's so poorly paid.

I'm glad things are good. :jump:

I went through some similar feelings six years ago when my wife (now 'ex') cleared off with my best friend's fiancée (you read that right). I didn't go to work for almost 5 weeks. A bizarre experience. I'm seeing this lady tomorrow, though, so might glean some coping strategies, one hopes. What're you up to today? x

  4. Ayup. Just dropping by. Hope you're very well.

  5. Mac

Hiya, Sara. Just that, really, and that I hope you're doing okay, my friend. x

It seems as though your mum's mum is losing the plot a little, which must put a lot of strain on you. I'd imagine that you feel a lot of responsibility towards both your mother and your sister. It must be something of a weight to bear across your shoulders. I hope they're broad! xx

Morning, Ooshie. I have Nesbo's The Redbreast to read in the next few books or so's time. It'll be The Passage next, though. How're things?

  8. I am just about to get my backside into gear and make some lunch before I start some recording. Mmmm....bacon butties....

  9. Mac

EXCELLENT avatar, Janet! I love it! x

  10. P.S. Have a great day. :D

    Hey there.

I'm sorry things are not brilliant for you at this time. I do know how it is, you're quite correct. Nothing in life ever seems easy or straightforward - it's them others, isn't it?!?

I've started a new job, working in an inclusion unit in a mainstream secondary school. So far, so good, and I'm currently loving it - it's all new!

I, too, am considering getting myself a cat. I believe that, should he be male, I'll call him 'Paul Newman'.

I like the idea of being outside calling: "Paul Newman! Paul Newman! Come on Paul Newman, it's time to come in!" and making weird tight-mouthed sucking sounds at the same time.

    I wonder if I'm a little odd...

I hope this finds you very well, my friend. PM me if you want a chat about stuff with an understanding near-total stranger. :friends0:

Hiya Kate. Of course, you PM'd me and I completely got sidetracked and forgot to write back - I'm really sorry.

I'm not 'feeling' the Charlaine Harris books at the moment - not sure why. It might be just one of those odd Macthings I get. Would you like to post it on to the next person on the list?

How are things with you, my friend? Lovely wedding picture top left, by the way - love the hair! x

  13. Mac

Ah, dammit! Missed your birthday by quite some time. Happy birthday for last month! x

Cake is for winners! Just don't chuck any down your top - the sticky crumbs can be terribly irritating...;) xx

That's a great result, chap. What was the A* in? I got 2 B's and 8 C's for my GCSE's - I never picked up a book to revise once. I was too interested in playing in my band, writing songs and spending time with an extraordinarily hot girl.

Just imagine the results had I worked at all. I'm an idiot!

    Glad you did well, mate.

  16. Mac

Hey, Paula. Looking at the times you've been posting, it wouldn't take a Bryant & May to deduce that your sleeping patterns gone banana's. Everything alright? :friends0:

  17. Mac

Ooh, I'm a Dean Koontz fan, too!

  18. Mac

Ahoy there, Nicola. How're things up Newcastle way? Have you visited any of my Uncle's restaurants yet?

What's new with you? Hope you're well.

  19. Aloha, Michelle. Just scooting by to say a very belated Happy Birthday and a good luck with the leaving work thing (one assumes that it's a good thing and through choice due to the countdown factor...)

Of course, it might not be through choice - maybe you're prescient and foresaw a point where you're trapped beneath something heavy, a wardrobe, or a Gnu, say, and had the decency to hand your notice in to save the embarrassment of having to explain why you weren't there for the past few weeks - a Gnu, of all things! What were you thinking?!?

*sounds of Mac dropping his marbles all over the living room floor and, look, there, a few of them definitely plummeted through the floorboards...

My Great Grandmother went stark, staring bonkers towards the end of her life. She insisted that I was either a) Winston Churchill (whom she knew); b) Her brother, Bill or c) her niece, Esme.

The latter disconcerted me more than somewhat.

This morning I visited my mother and gave her

  21. Hope you had a good day, too. I was suffering from a cataclysmic hangover. The drummer in my band came over on Saturday night and we had a little too much plonk. Heeeeeere's Monday! Have a good one, eh! :-)

  22. Hey Suzanna. Dean Koontz has a new novel out tomorrow (08.06.09). Guess who's going to the bookshop first thing!

  23. Yo, Kelly. This is just me, popping by to say 'yo' and to see how you're doing?

What's new witchoo? Hoping you're all together well and groovy.

    Mac X

  24. Yo, Nollaig. Hope you're still well and groovy. Have you had a chance to check out that link I've PM'd you to the Speak Your Branes (sic) website?

It's remarkably off tangent today! I love it!

  25. Mac

Morning, fella. Hope all's well with you. I have a day off! It's almost unheard of!
