Barbara Pym is one of my favourite authors! My favourite book of hers is Quartet In Autumn which I can highly recommend (I re-read it a few years ago) and I'm hoping to have a re-reading session of some of her other books next year.
Didn't get round to The Best of Times the other day, but treated myself to it this morning. Another lovely Christmas fairy tale from Michael Morpurgo. Loved it.
Need to make a start on my reading group books for next week, so I'll be starting The Great Fire by Shirley Hazzard today.
If I remember rightly, it was unnecessary anyway, they could have easily shot the scene without a car, it was just another excuse for blatant product placement, like the Virgin airplane!
