      Have to be honest and say I don't really the heat Maureen, so thanks, but no thanks! It's just nice for it not to be raining and dark at 7pm in the middle of June

      Ummm, well I did manage a bit of cleaning but note all I meant to do, while the other two tasks were completed successfully!

      Thanks Hayley - I forgot to say, it's actually Chesil Beach as well, and was taken one Saturday in May this year.

    As predicted, it's pouring with rain, but fortunately, being a bank holiday, just looked at the television schedules and found out Sense and Sensibility is on this afternoon - sorted! :D

      I watched Wallace & Gromit at the proms .. brilliant! Then I put Bleak House on the DVD .. the only thing to do on a rainy bank holiday .. watch costume drama .. with tea and biscuits :)

    Woken up at 5:30am this morning by huge thunderstorm - opened the blinds and led in bed watching the lightning and counting the seconds until the thunder broke. Always makes me feel like a kid doing that! Good start to the weekend

      Some great photos on the BBC News website, but also sobering to see that two families lost their homes after lightning caused fires.

      I love thunder too. However I could have done without it when I had to be up at 5am - it wemt on from Midnight until 7am and then started again just after 8am and didn't stop until 3pm. :o

    Hey Gemz! How are you getting on with The Princess Diaries? I love Meg Cabot's writing - settling down with one of her books is like sitting in a cosy armchair with a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fire :D

    Hi Mia - thought I'd tell you about Chesil Beach here rather than in the thread - don't want to get told off for going off-topic! Chesil Beach is on the south coast of Dorset and is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. There is a website all about it with some lovely pictures so you can see more at www.chesilbeach.org

    Hello! Hope you're have a good weekend :D

     

    Went to see Brendan Cole Live and Unjudged this week - absolutely brilliant! He danced with Nicole Cutler for the latin dances and Izabella Hannah for the ballroom, plus he's also got his big brother, Scott Cole, Andrew Cuerden and Hanna Haarala as well. Front row seats, so perfect view. Just amazing :smile2:

    I'm SO excited, I can't tell you! I've been busy updating my website and preparing for the first show all day, and I'm practically bouncing up and down in my seat now!
