Hello! Have you been away? Haven't seen you around much lately. How've you been?
-
I think we just keep missing each other, lol! Though that said, I only make it on here every few days. I did get your email - sorry very unfriendly of me to not respond to it! I am glad that you liked the necklace & that Rachel liked hers too. I was pretty unsure about Rachel's especially!
Things are crazy at work, but it'll be fine, I'm sure. So what have you been up to?

Thanks Beth! Is it tomorrow you are going to see some of Raja's family? Can't wait to see your pics!

Hi Maggie, was just browsing your website & thought I would pop over here & say that if that picture of you at the top of your "About Maggie" page is in any way recent, you don't look anywhere nearly old enough to have 5 grandchildren!
Will your book be released for sale here in the UK in June as well?

How long of a journey is it from where you are? Are you excited? I have to admit, I miss the travelling so much! Really is a shame I fell in love with someone who doesn't like to travel!

There is NO way that you are turning 69 next week! Surely you jest? All I can say is you look fab (& there is no need for the oft implied qualifier, ie: "........for an old chick" - you just look fab!) It is great what you can do with timers on cameras (once you get them figured out, that is, lol!)
Well, I look forward to reading your book & if it's ok with you, I think I would like to use it as one of my choices toward a reading challenge that I am doing? It's a global reading challenge where I'm trying (& I stress the word trying) to read a book written by an author from every country in the world. You could be one of my choices for the UK! (are you English, Scottish or Welsh?)

Well I hope you have a great time - if nothing else, at least you can say you saw the Taj Mahal! Wish I could say that! I've done loads of travelling, mostly in Europe, though. My Mom loves to travel, too & my dad is afraid to fly so every other year she flys over here & we take her touring! Her first trip was great - London, Paris, Milan, Lake Como & surrounds, Venice, Verona, Stockholm, Glasgow & Edinburgh. She had such a blast!

I'm a Canuck (Canadian) stranded for my sins (read: I fell in love with a Brit) in the UK, lol! I would have moved home to Canada by now if not for him, but he's not ready to go there to live, hence the stranded here.
Phew, it's a good thing your book's not Lit-fic - I'm trying to avoid anything that could be considered taxing of my brain cells (I assure you I jest) for this challenge - the challenge is enough of a challenge:thud:!

Well I hope you enjoy it! Before I moved over here I only stayed in 3-4 star hotels, that kind of thing, butt I work in hotels & it always astounds me the amount of money people spend on hotels because they must have a bit of luxury. As I said, I used to be that way, then I discovered Hosteling & have never looked back. I only stay in ones that have private rooms (no dorms for me, lol) & spend a fraction of the money I otherwise would, on hotels, at least! That has meant that I have more money to do things in the places I travel! We always stay in hostels now, even when Mom is over. She's coming over again in August & this time we are doing Wales & Ireland (We did The Netherlands & Belgium last time).
Have a great time!

How long are you away for? I think you & Raja are on an amazing adventure! Not something most people get the opportunity to do, and you seem to be enjoying yourself, which is great! I had a friend who got send to Asia for work & hated it. I think it was that he didn't allow himself to enjoy it. In his opinion it was horrid & backward & dirty - which perhaps it was, but I think he allowed all of that to take away from the possibilities & adventures that were there, so close to hand!

Hi, yeah, I was up late, wasn't I? Has become a bit of a bad habit, that! I'm on Garden Leave from work, so have no need of watching the clock to make sure I can get up really early for work, which is nice! I'm trying to enjoy this time while I have it & make the most of it by staying up late, lol!

Hi! You are very welcome! I wasn't going to tell you that I had bought it, I was just going to pop it into the post, but when you posted that comment, I just couldn't resist telling you. I couldn't believe my luck & I swear, I must have stood there for about 20 minutes trying to decide what to do! I picked them up & put them back, then picked them up again, then went & found some other stuff, then went back & stood in front of the books again trying to decide whether you would want me to buy Dorian Gray for you or not. Oh well, guess I'll just have to talk about Ulf Dahlen elsewhere! I answer to your question, I've had a love for all things Swedish for as long as I can remember - at least since I was 6. That was when I started learing about vikings & it developed into a love for Sweden & all things Swedish.
