Ok, hoping I got this right: (I am positive I remeber you saying you speak Swedish as your 1st language, not Finnish? - trying to show off my lack of Swedish language skills here, - after not speaking it for 16 years it's pretty darn rusty!!)

D'oh! I'm a bit of a dumbass then, aren't I? I'm ok, but I am really growing sick of living in this hotel! I really shouldn't complain, I know, but I'm going to anyway! I am just tired of being away from N, being away from home, eating hotel food - I've put on all the weight I had previously lost.................grrrr!
I know what you mean about the heat. I used to be able to handle the heat, but no more. The summers in Canada where I grew up were very hot - standard temps hovering in the mid to high 30's & quite humid. Now, I've lived here too long & I just can't handle the heat any more! A few years ago I went to Italy to see a friend & ended up with sun stroke - even though it was only in the low to mid 30's! Will definately have snow any day of the week!

Hello my dear! Sorry to be the bearer of some bad news, but I have yet to mail the book. My idiot employer (the old one) conveniently "forgot" to pay me, so I couldn't afford to mail it last weekend. I got my cheque in the post today, so will get it mailed off to you tomorrow.
Sorry!

Hello! Ah, no worries, my work situation will sort itself out. I have no fear (ok, maybe a little fear).
Singapore, huh? Jealous. Definately jealous. Wonder if they still have the flogging laws there?

Hello! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the book! Unfortunately, it was not entirely creative licence on Mr. Deaver's behalf! That's the scariest bit, I think!
(I had a website for you to look at, but apparently you can't put web links in visitor messages.)
I think the bit about the trackers in books & the bits about how the credit cards are scanned even if you are passing by a store, I think he used creative licence there, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was real!
I'm good today, how about you? Had a nice healthy breakfast, going to take it easy today & tomorrow I find out whether my Dr. will sign me off for another 2 weeks or not. I suspect he is going to make me go back to work..............

Hello! Sorry to hear you were bored at work today! My day was lovely, thanks! I spent the entire day with a friend & her 5 month old baby daughter. We walked around Ikea, then had lunch there, then went for a walk around a local lake, in the spectacular sunshine.
Did your day get less boring?

Hello! Well, it's never been bad going, I'm just not hooked like so many others seem to be. Maybe I just have a thing against German authors? I've read 2 Bernhard Schlink books - 1 was ok, hated the other & now with The Book Thief, it's kinda like, meh, can't be bothered!
I will finish it, though & I really do hope that when I finish it I am able to say that I am really glad that I did!
How are you? How goes the prep for the move? When do you go?

Hello! Yes, it sure has been hot here in Doncaster. Too hot! I used to be able to handle the heat, but not any more - I have been here too long! The worst thing is that it has been hot & there has been virtually no breeze, which makes it awful. I am so glad that the hotel has aircon!
How have you been? How's the weather in Inverness?

Hi Maggie, was just browsing your website & thought I would pop over here & say that if that picture of you at the top of your "About Maggie" page is in any way recent, you don't look anywhere nearly old enough to have 5 grandchildren!
Will your book be released for sale here in the UK in June as well?

Hi Nicola, thanks for be-friending me! Wanna hear (or read, I suppose) something funny? I come here to your page & the 1st thing I see is this line from frankie:
"Haa, my BF is also younger than me! He's 25 and I'm 27 so I know what it's like to have a younger BF.", which made me chuckle because my BF is also younger than me (& I take it so is yours?). Mine is 33 & I'm 37, so he's really a toyboy as my friends like to say!

Hi NovaLee! I'm in the UK - kinda between locations at the moment. I have a flat in Bedford, 70 minutes north of London, but I am only there at the weekends as I work in Nottingham. My OH & I are in the process of moving there, searching for houses & all that great fun stuff!
What about you? Where in Canada are you?

I do have msn if you'd ever like to chat it's leysimpson @ hotmail.com (had to add the spaces because you can't send email addresses via visitor messages.)
What kind of soup were you making? I was chatting with your Mum this afternoon & she made me mess up my recipe of banana bread (joking! though I did mistakenly double the butter, so I ended up having to double the entire recipe!). Luckily it turned out ok!

I think that's a brilliant idea! Where would be central to most of us? We should make a meet up post & then make an over night of it & I would book us all the hotel rooms as I get a fab discount on hotels........hmm, I'm getting carried away here, aren't I?
Your holiday sounds so relaxing, Diane! That's the kind of thing I would love to do this summer, but all of the Centre Parks are pretty inaccessable if you don't drive (& neither my OH or I do)

I think we just keep missing each other, lol! Though that said, I only make it on here every few days. I did get your email - sorry very unfriendly of me to not respond to it! I am glad that you liked the necklace & that Rachel liked hers too. I was pretty unsure about Rachel's especially!
Things are crazy at work, but it'll be fine, I'm sure. So what have you been up to?

I'm a Canuck (Canadian) stranded for my sins (read: I fell in love with a Brit) in the UK, lol! I would have moved home to Canada by now if not for him, but he's not ready to go there to live, hence the stranded here.
Phew, it's a good thing your book's not Lit-fic - I'm trying to avoid anything that could be considered taxing of my brain cells (I assure you I jest) for this challenge - the challenge is enough of a challenge:thud:!

Now, see, the hockey is a tough one because as much as I love all things Swedish, I am very proud to be a Canadian. As long as it is Sweden vs anyone else, I cheer for Sweden. If it is Sweden vs Canada - I am torn to bits! I feel disloyal cheering for either side!
What Swedish I so know is pretty rudamentary & is all self taught (with the help of my Swedish primary school teacher friend). She sends me Swedish childrens books & newspapers & helps me translate what I don't understand. I would love to become a competant Swedish speaker, but finding places to take Swedish language lessons has been pretty hard.
I have never been to Finland, though I have a very dear friend who lives in Helsinki, where she was born & raised & I keep saying I WILL get there to see her, but haven't managed it yet! Where in Finland are you, if you don't mind saying?

Oh don't you worry, I would go through major withdrawl if I do't get on the internet at least at the weekends! Not to mention the fact that I would have billions of posts unread here & I would have way too many books to write reviews about!
How strange that msn is being mean to you! :motz:I assume you have tried re-booting the lappy?
