  1. Well you never know, I'm coming to Breat-Britain next year to work for a couple of months so I might be able to visit the place ;)

  2. Well? Did you get lucky in the charity shops? I hope you had a good session! :D

  3. What, did you have too much fun on your birthday and nothing compares to it? Awwww you   :D Treat yourself to something nice aye? A little pampering is in order.

  4. What?! Finns at your work? Cooool :) I'd say that in general the people over, say, 40 years probably have a really thick accent, the younger ones have had more time in school to learn the language and learn the pronunciation. I know quite a few people who you'd probably think are native English-speakers, even ones who don't study English at the uni.I'm gonna send you a good ...

  5. Whatcha reading right now? I'm trying to finish Veronica Decides to Die today, I'm taking a little trip tomorrow and I don't think I'll have space in my backpack for a book to read. I'm going to visit my BF's parents, then I'm visiting my Godson and his new babysister, then I'm off to Helsinki to see friends, hopefully take part in the Helsinki Pride Week, and then I'm doing the bookshops tours! Do you have any special plans?

  6. When pharmaceutical meds don't work, it's time to try mint liquor! ;)

Oddly I'm feeling better. I don't know if it was the nasal spray or the mint :D Just sleepy and disoriented from lack of sleep.

I really didn't fancy vodka, the mint was first choice. I still got a bit left, will make a nice hot choccy cuppa with it :)

  7. Wherever I can find a suitable job :)

  8. Who me? Thanks for your kind words but I don't feel like I've really done anything which you described, I don't even have the courtesy to visit the thread regularly  But I've noticed you are always there to offer wise words, definitely more often than me. But you are right, we all need each other and we are all there for each other, and that's really precious.

  9. Wouldn't it be wonderful if I played secret Santa and bought the whole set for you so you could think of me more often? :P

  10. Wow, that's really great to hear, I'm really pleased for you :D I'm fine as well, I've been enjoying going to the gym. The weather's still awful but at least I'm having a good excuse to stay inside and read :D There's a copy of that M

  11. Yay it worked. Around 0.57 minutes you can hear the woman pronouncing 'r', that's how we do it over here :) So you can just say 'sari' the cloth with a more rolled 'r' and you've got it :)

  12. Yay, mail for me! :D I don't think I have the time and the energy to reply to you today, but rest assured you'll be hearing from me soon anyhow ;)

  13. Yeah he is! :D Labbies are my favorite dogs. Well one of my many favorite dogs, there are just too many great breeds :smile2:

  14. Yeah I figured Weetabix isn't that good on its own but with the right "accessories" might taste great :)

  15. Yeah I noticed in some thread that you were going to go see him :) I was at the library the other day going through the English lit section and I noticed a massive row of Rankin's books and I thought of you :) I've never tried his books, maybe I should give him a go? What's the first novel in his Rebus-series?

  16. Yeah Piper the Rottie. Such a cute dog! :D

  17. Yeah these things definitely can't influence what we read or don't read, which is a real shame sometimes. There are two sequels, Little Men and Jo's Boys but if I remember correctly these are about the girls' children's lives and I'm not overly interested about that so I don't think I'll be reading those. But I think it was great to find Little Women, I always liked L. M. Montgomery's books and wished there were more of these kinds of books! :)

  18. Yeah you had me all "what?", I couldn't figure out what the time must be there over the pond, I couldn't decide whether you're still up late or waking up at a very random hour of the earliest morning. Too awful you have to work so early and on a Saturday as well!! :( I hope you can sneak in here during work ;):giggle:

  19. Yep yep! Besides toyboy keeps you young in many, many ways :giggle:

  20. Yep you did, I had no idea that it's possible! The problem is that now I have no idea how to make new posts before Kidsmum's and your posts :D I just came back to Joensuu from my parents today and haven't yet checked my mail box, I'll leave that tomorrow, but worry not I'll let you know if and when the certain something has arrived! I'm very curious to see what I...

  21. Yes really and honestly :D I'm pleased to hear you find this thing so positively amusing :D I wouldn't call '

  22. Yes, but I already think about myself 24/7! :D

  23. Yes, could you please book us a hotel room? :P

  24. Yes, I saw it maybe three weeks ago, it was fabulous! Have you seen it?

  25. Yo CW, I don't mean to be a pain in the backside but I still haven't heard from you :P
