  1. Charm! I just finished the Chelsea Cain book and it turned out great, at least for me! No match for Deaver books but still a great read. I'm gonna start the second book in the series tonight I think :) So yeah I would recommend you to read it at some point :)

  2. Charm!! I just read your e-mail about the best machine in the world  Am I supposed to think that all this time I've characterised myself here on BCF as 'lean mean reading v*gina*'???

  3. Charm's right, look at it as a great holiday with a 24 hour room service and all the time in the world for reading and foruming :P

  4. Come on Charm, move your Puppy again :D

  9. D'you know Kylie, I have a professor who's from Australia. I'm not quite sure where he's from exactly but he sure has that Australian accent. And d'you know, he looks like one of those little fellas from The Lord of the Ring? What are they called? A hobbit, yes!! Now, I've seen a couple of TV-series that are Australian so I know you don't all look like that, but he does! He's a funny fella he is :)

  10. Different words have different meanings sometimes, don't worry, I know where you're coming from *hugs*

  11. Do you celebrate Mid summer by the way in N. Ireland? Any plans for that? Our midsummer is this weekend on Saturday. In Finland it's a time when you're most likely with your friends/family on a summer cottage or something like that. The cities/towns are empty! Some people also do a lot of drinking. BF is doing his usual thing, going to his friend's summer cottage where he and his friends have been celebrating midsummer since for ever. I'm invited but I'm not going, I don't feel like spending 4 days with BF friends whom I don't really know, not having any friends of my own there. It's also many many kilometers from any civilisation so I'd be stuck there. I have a couple of backup plans but haven't decide yet. It's tough, trying to know in advance what's the most bestest and funnest scenario :tong:

  12. Do you think I should have my own member's thread about periods and being in sync? You know with the mooncups and all?

  13. Don't worry about that language thing cause it's really no big deal at all, it just frustrates myself when I cannot express myself accurately. Which is stupid cause how could I know everything, nobody expects me to. But the heck with it, let's carry on with more important things. Like baking :smile2: Mmmmmmm.... I hope you get that superpower we were dreaming about soon!

  14. Don't worry, a couple of other people were posting on it as well. And goodness knows I've been eager to post on other people's unfinished reading blogs before we're allowed to :D It's just so fascinating to see other people's lists :) Happy reading Ben!

  15. Don't worry, I'm as lazy as you! :/ One of these days one of us will snap out of it and write the other one, and then it's chatterbox like we've never seen it :D

  16. Don't worry, that happens to the best of us  No matter how good the book is! I just started the zombie book, I think I'm off to bed soon :) Nighty night Kookie :D

  17. Experiencing computer problems, might not be online very much in the near future :/

Do they do any celebrating there today, such as fireworks, a day off school/work Parades ?

Thank you guys! :) We do have a day off from school/work. Otherwise it's a peaceful sort of celebration. We still remember the war and think of all the soldiers who died. It's also winter in here, so that puts a damper on things as well. It's certainly nothing like the fourth of July in America, for example. Mostly we visit cemeteries, light candles, eat well and watch the presidential gala on TV :) I like it that way. It's a day of peace in the otherwise hectic December...

  19. Finland is the 2011 world champion in ice hockey!!! <3

      Hi Frankie

I hope you don't mind me dropping by . I noticed your post on the main page about the snow . I don't know much about your weather over that way .Is it cold most of the time, and do you have snow a big part of the year ? We usually get our first snowflakes late Otober, but the first snow that really sticks to the ground is usually later in November .

I detest snow, and the cold and I dread getting big snowfalls, luckily in the south of England we don't get it too often, but once is too much for me, brrrr!!!!

  22. Frankie had a blast in Estonia, it was very pretty, the language is beautiful (and amusing to us Finns), and I had very good company. Spent a bit too much money... Tomorrow Frankie goes to see Korn!!!

  23. frankie is going to be ashamed of the Finnish parliament for the next four years. The real true Finns are not anti-everything!

It was back in September, they only got 5,20 % but that was enough to make it in to the parliament. They have the same issues in Denmark I think. Hopefully I speak for everyone when I say we don't judge a whole country based on the results in one election.

I just hope they won't ef everything up in the next four years, but will ef up enough to make people see this is not the way to go, this is not how the future should be.

  24. Frankie is off to Nurmes today, will spend Saturday celebrating Dad's 60th Bday + there's a 90s party at a local place, wohoo! :)
