D'you know Kylie, I have a professor who's from Australia. I'm not quite sure where he's from exactly but he sure has that Australian accent. And d'you know, he looks like one of those little fellas from The Lord of the Ring? What are they called? A hobbit, yes!! Now, I've seen a couple of TV-series that are Australian so I know you don't all look like that, but he does! He's a funny fella he is

Do you celebrate Mid summer by the way in N. Ireland? Any plans for that? Our midsummer is this weekend on Saturday. In Finland it's a time when you're most likely with your friends/family on a summer cottage or something like that. The cities/towns are empty! Some people also do a lot of drinking. BF is doing his usual thing, going to his friend's summer cottage where he and his friends have been celebrating midsummer since for ever. I'm invited but I'm not going, I don't feel like spending 4 days with BF friends whom I don't really know, not having any friends of my own there. It's also many many kilometers from any civilisation so I'd be stuck there. I have a couple of backup plans but haven't decide yet. It's tough, trying to know in advance what's the most bestest and funnest scenario

Don't worry about that language thing cause it's really no big deal at all, it just frustrates myself when I cannot express myself accurately. Which is stupid cause how could I know everything, nobody expects me to. But the heck with it, let's carry on with more important things. Like baking Mmmmmmm.... I hope you get that superpower we were dreaming about soon!

Thank you guys! We do have a day off from school/work. Otherwise it's a peaceful sort of celebration. We still remember the war and think of all the soldiers who died. It's also winter in here, so that puts a damper on things as well. It's certainly nothing like the fourth of July in America, for example. Mostly we visit cemeteries, light candles, eat well and watch the presidential gala on TV I like it that way. It's a day of peace in the otherwise hectic December...

Hi Frankie
I hope you don't mind me dropping by . I noticed your post on the main page about the snow . I don't know much about your weather over that way .Is it cold most of the time, and do you have snow a big part of the year ? We usually get our first snowflakes late Otober, but the first snow that really sticks to the ground is usually later in November .

Frankie had a blast in Estonia, it was very pretty, the language is beautiful (and amusing to us Finns), and I had very good company. Spent a bit too much money... Tomorrow Frankie goes to see Korn!!!

frankie is going to be ashamed of the Finnish parliament for the next four years. The real true Finns are not anti-everything!
