  1. Hm, I had tuna pasta bake tonight.. wasn't half-bad.
  2. Ah well, I'm getting slower as I'm nearing my exams, so it's all work - very little reading, for me now.
  3. Lol, well like I said you can read as many or as little as you want, the series is good that way because it doesn't limit you to reading them in any particular order. Just means you can dip into one or two, then go back to something different. Hope you enjoy anyway.. Reviews. - Just a little note to remind me that three reviews need to be written. 1) The Gaudi Key. 2) The Hobbit. 3) Witches Abroad. Will be writing these some time soon, possibly tomorrow.
  4. This is one I certainly want to read.
  5. Catching me up on your reading now Dan. Glad you're getting through some enjoyable books.
  6. Haha, no problem.
  7. http://www.addictedtodiscworld.com/ReadingGuide.html Handy link there. But that being said, the series is wrote where you don't have to really read them in any certain order. I'd only read the first one of the whole series (The Colour of Magic), before plunging into that one which is dotted about somewhere in the middle of the series. The order really doesn't matter. Btw, The Colour of Magic isn't his best at all.. so don't feel the need to start there. Hope that helps.
  8. Oh yeah, I know that! Of course I'm not going to let someone choose a list of books that I definitely have to read. But a lot of these sound great, and a fair few have interested me before anyway.. so I was just thinking it might be good, if I get the chance, to read some more on the list. Of course I wont put pressure on myself to read them all or anything like that, I'll probably just think of it as a long-term thing that I don't have to dedicate myself to. If that makes sense.
  9. It's one of the Discworld novels, by Terry Pratchett? You've probably heard of them. If not give them a look up on Google. It's brilliant. Pratchett's writing style is very captivating, and his characters are outstanding in the vast majority of Discworld novels. Eta - The Hobbit. - I think this time I managed to get into it a lot because I've been sat with my Auntie all week-end, in hospital. Just maybe because it was very quiet, and easy to concentrate. That's why I've finished three books in three days.
  10. I don't suppose you like Charmed by any chance Rach. And, yes Michelle, I'm terrified.
  11. "This is the Discworld, which marvels through space on the back of four elephants which themselves stand on the shell of Great A 'Tuin, the sky turtle." - Witches Abroad. - Terry Pratchett.
  12. Ok, I have decided that because of my dismal total, that stands at only 8 or 9, I'm going to make this a on-going project to try get more of them read. I'm only 15, so it's a bit more difficult to get hold of the ones I want, etc.. but if it's a on-going project then I'll see how it goes.
  13. Oh, thanks Mia! I'll be sure to move it up my 'to be read' pile.
  14. Finished Witches Abroad.
  15. Hey, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll settle in fine here, it's perfect.
  16. Well said Chesilbeach.
  17. Hey there, and welcome.
  18. Lol, you're addicted and that's before you've even started posting.. there's no hope. All that's left to do is welcome you to the team.
  19. I just meant at least I don't pretend that my style of writing for reviews has any set structure, nor in my opinion does it constitute as 'good', if that makes sense? My comment probably should've been clearer; my excuse being it's late, and I probably didn't think about what I typed, before I typed it. Also, it wasn't directed at anyone on here, apologies if anyone took it like that. ETA. - Thank you Roxi. Anyway, away to bed for me, after I've got some more album artwork for my iTunes library..
  20. Hey there, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll settle in with this lovely bunch, quite quickly.
  21. I'm not sure really.. I guess I just start of with initial thoughts.. then throw together a brief story plot, a bit about the writing style, characters, etc. I don't know really, I just type something that sounds reasonable. At least I'm not pretending to be good at reviewing, lol.
  22. In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit. - The Hobbit. J.R.R Tolkien. Just finished this.. but yeah.
  23. Forgot too mention I received three books from BookJumper this morning in the post, all for free. Witches Abroad. Hogfather. Monstrous Regiment. Starting Witches Abroad some time tomorrow, I think. Synopsis. It seemed an easy job... After all, how difficult could it be to make sure that a servant girl doesn't marry a prince? But for the witches Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick, travelling to the distant city of Genua, things are never that simple... Servant girls have to marry the prince. That's what life is all about. You can't fight a Happy Ending. At least - up until now...
  24. Finished The Hobbit. Don't really understand why I've struggled before.. I enjoyed it. Review when I get chance.
  25. Just noticed Roxi enjoyed HP. Good news.
