hi Jo and welcome
-
Burgers, potato wedges and veg and gravy.
-
I adore the Specsavers ad with the old guy and the sheep - where he shears the dog? It's wonderful and makes me giggle every time.
I hate, loath and despise the ad for Star trek Voyager that's running on Virgin one - I know it's not technically an ad - but it implies that they're lost because a woman is driving????
-
Viv is her Sister????
Blimey, where did that come from?
-
Galaxy Quest
Saving Grace
Aliens
Alien 4 ("I'm the monster's mother" Classic!)
Lord of the Rings - all of em
Harry Potter - all so far
Labyrinth.
-
Home made burgers - locally farmed beef mince, home grown onion and a few herbs - served with mostly home grown salad.
-
As a reflection of archaeology I'm sure it's complete rubbish - but as a bit of fun it's fab, I love it.
Last nights was so much fun, and the idea of Boudicca falling in love with a Roman, and then the roman setting the great fire of Rome as revenge for her death - Loved it, pure speculation/fantasy but so much fun!
Very fond of the Magwilde character and Dolly is just wonderful.
-
Spag bol.
-
Anyone else watch this?
-
Reduced in tesco quiche with home grown spuds and home grown carrots - Yummm!
-
butbutbut.... Sarah-Jane, in the car...... Nononononononononono!!!!!
-
O.m.g!
-
Yes, but at his age, it's fine - I'm a grown woman, for goodness sake!
And?
Sarah-Jane is in it.......

The part where the family were taken off to the "labour" camps was downright disturbing and nearly had me in tears. And the father of the family was so dignified and stoic, even though he knew what was going to happen. *sniffle*
That had me in floods!

Yeah, but how many kids are going to be put off reading by this episode? Can you imagine it: "Hey kids, wanna go to the library?" *Traumatised kids run off screaming*
My 8 yr old announced at the end - When we go to the library can I take my torch?
-
No series? Blimey, that's not good.
-
We loved it too! Silly and very much a WhoDunnit, but with a Dr Who twist, played with humour, not very deep at all but so much FUN!
-
This is one of my all time fav books, I think I'm on my 3rd copy now after I loaned one out and it never came back and then the ex took the second one when we split up, so, I'm on number 3.
Mia - I know what you mean, and I think I don't really see it as a Pratchett as such, because it's Pratchett and Gaiman?
Louiseog - Oh yes! The good vs evil and the interplay between Crowley and Aziraphale is fantastic.
-
Internet rumour re Jenny (I'll put in spoilers in case you don't want to look!):
Apparently she will be appearing in the Sarah Jane Adventures.
Don't know how true it is!
That'd be fun and I'd like to see that series back too.

Hi Tinymoz,
I'll refrain from mentioning my own book in favour of my favourites, Robin Hobb's Assassin series, along with the Liveship Traders trilogy and then the Tawny Man books - it's 3 sets of 3 that are all linked and I love 'em.
A warm welcome to you!
-
Can't remember if I did this and can't be *rsed to go look....
Birthday: March 4th
Age: Let's just say I saw the Moon Landings, but only just.
Starsign: Pisces, unless you mean Chinese in which case - Rooster.
Single/Married/Other? happily single
Children? 2, noisy
Where do you live? Here, in cyberspace.
Do you work? Yes, very hard
Favourite author? Robin Hobb.
Favourite book? There isn't just one, but the Robin Hobb 6 Duchies and Liveship books are the ones I'll read over and over.
How did you get here? I followed a link that lead to a link, that lead to.... Oh you get the idea. I blame Immi.
-
My brother thinks it was Jenny who picked up The Master's ring at the end of series 3
Ooooh, I like your thinking!

Way back before I was born, in 1963, William Hartnell's Doctor had a granddaughter - Susan, so it makes sense that he had a child, how else do you get to be a grandparent?
I wasn't expecting the cloning/whatever thing though, and I'd love to see her come back at some point.
But but but (pedant alert) Why did she not regenerate fully?
-
Does it really matter?
To me, yes, I'm a pedant. Redesigns are fine, mostly an improvement. But this was silly.
Looking forward to next weeks though.

Nici - I hope it goes well for you.
We're on a packet of ready filled pasta and a tub of ready made cheese sauce. Might do some veg to go with it, or get out a pack of ready made garlic bread.
