  1. I adore the Specsavers ad with the old guy and the sheep - where he shears the dog? It's wonderful and makes me giggle every time.

I hate, loath and despise the ad for Star trek Voyager that's running on Virgin one - I know it's not technically an ad - but it implies that they're lost because a woman is driving????

  2. As a reflection of archaeology I'm sure it's complete rubbish - but as a bit of fun it's fab, I love it.

Last nights was so much fun, and the idea of Boudicca falling in love with a Roman, and then the roman setting the great fire of Rome as revenge for her death - Loved it, pure speculation/fantasy but so much fun!

Very fond of the Magwilde character and Dolly is just wonderful.

  3. The part where the family were taken off to the "labour" camps was downright disturbing and nearly had me in tears. ;) And the father of the family was so dignified and stoic, even though he knew what was going to happen. *sniffle*

    That had me in floods!

  4. Yeah, but how many kids are going to be put off reading by this episode? Can you imagine it: "Hey kids, wanna go to the library?" *Traumatised kids run off screaming* :friends0:

My 8 yr old announced at the end - When we go to the library can I take my torch?

  5. This is one of my all time fav books, I think I'm on my 3rd copy now after I loaned one out and it never came back and then the ex took the second one when we split up, so, I'm on number 3.

Mia - I know what you mean, and I think I don't really see it as a Pratchett as such, because it's Pratchett and Gaiman?

Louiseog - Oh yes! The good vs evil and the interplay between Crowley and Aziraphale is fantastic.

  6. Internet rumour re Jenny (I'll put in spoilers in case you don't want to look!):

Apparently she will be appearing in the Sarah Jane Adventures.

Don't know how true it is!

That'd be fun and I'd like to see that series back too.

  7. Hi Tinymoz,

I'll refrain from mentioning my own book in favour of my favourites, Robin Hobb's Assassin series, along with the Liveship Traders trilogy and then the Tawny Man books - it's 3 sets of 3 that are all linked and I love 'em.

    A warm welcome to you!

  8. Can't remember if I did this and can't be *rsed to go look.... :smile2:

How did you get here? I followed a link that lead to a link, that lead to.... Oh you get the idea. I blame Immi.

  9. Way back before I was born, in 1963, William Hartnell's Doctor had a granddaughter - Susan, so it makes sense that he had a child, how else do you get to be a grandparent?

I wasn't expecting the cloning/whatever thing though, and I'd love to see her come back at some point.

But but but (pedant alert) Why did she not regenerate fully?
