  1. Finished reading Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood.

Slow start to the story but when the suspense begins to build up and the main characters develop I couldn't put the book down.Read it in two days.Looking forward to reading The Flood in the near future.Meanwhile I will be reading Drowning Man - Michael Robotham the second book he has written. His first book The Suspect was one of the best thriller books I have read recently.

  2. I can read at every opportunity.

Always have a read at bedtime, propped up with comfy pillows.

Then I will read at every available moment of my day, even while waiting for things to cook and kettles to boil etc.

This means that I am either perched on a stool, sat in an armchair or at the table eating my lunchtime sarnie.

Most of the time I don't worry about creased spines as I think that a book should be enjoyed.Of course there are some exceptions ie books that I know I will definitely be keeping.

  3. Just finished I Victoria - Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. Never read any of her books before and it has been sitting on one of my book shelves for ages. Found it historically interesting as I knew very little about Queen Victoria, but will probably not read this author again.

Starting on Shatter - Michael Robotham. The blurb says it is a terrifying psychological thriller and is going to delve into the darkess recesses of my mind.:friends0:

Started to read and was prepared to be terrified ,when I realised that these books needed to be read in sequence,so I am now reading the first one (which I just happened to have) called The Suspects.
