  1. My dad ties flies for fishing i have always been fascinated by flies since i was tiny some are beautiful.

I only fish when i am at the sea!!

Some are very beautiful. Those are usually the Classic Salmon flies. Hubby and I have a desk set up with 2 vices and 2 lights and tons of materials. We usually tie for trout, blue gill, crapie, and bass. It is amazingly very relaxing.

  2. I try crocheting and cross stiching

I love fishing, camping, tying flies (for fishing) and doing crafts with the boys. Kenny and I are working on building a popsicle cabin, very fun and very messy.

Oh I also love "butterfly hunting" thats when you walk around with little nets and catch butterfly's, look at them and then let them go. Or you can freeze them then mount them in a frame and hang them on the wall..I'm very outdoorsy.

  3. I love using my library. I can get on line and they have a very good range of books, magazines and movies. I even finally got my hubby signed up for a library card. We can go to any of the 3 branches in town and only once have I had to "special order" a book but it only took about 4 days to get in. The librarian's are very helpfull and very informative.

  4. Well the biscuits came out fine, I added some chopped onion, cheese, bacon and herbs, but the gravy ........is it really supposed to resemble white tasteless glue? I fed the rest to my chickens and even they just took a quick peck, squawked and went off to wipe their beaks. I think I'll stick to home-made gravy :)

Not really, I made some increadably "sexy" gravy the other night, just add a little more milk to thin it, light on the salt, heavy on the pepper. Just keep trying, but I did make my gravy from scratch. First time trying, and it came out awsome!:D

  5. We're having baked potatoes for dinner this evening. We cook them in the oven and then mash them up on our plates with butter, salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. Then we throw on some chopped ham and onions, layer that with shredded cheese pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese then coat the cheese with ranch dressing. OMG sooo good.;)

  6. I love cheesy grits but I also put some extra seasonings in it and add some salsa to it. It give's it a little bit of a zing that I love. If you don't want to try biscuts and gravy I love making hashbrowns and gravy with lots of pepper.

:censored:errr...just in case.....hashbrowns are shredded potatoes fried in a skillet with a little bit of cooking oil.

  7. I totally agree. Kenny and I read quite a bit together. He's started on chapter books and we usually read one chapter a night, maybe two if he's being good. Eris my 1 1/2 year old loves to sit and babble while he is looking at books. I know I was read to earlier but the Wrinkle in Time is one of those special fond memories I have with my dad and I think that really is why I started the tradition with my boys. I think I was probably 5 or 6 when we started that book. But it got me hooked. Daddy did a good job ;)

  8. Wow! Such a warm welcome from everyone! Thanks! ;)

:( Trust me, I'm sure when more people get on after work today your going to have a slew load of "welcomes" this is a very friendly forum.
