  1. I have to admit to being a chick-lit fan and I'm proud of it. I know they're not the most intellectual books on the market but I like them because they're easy to read and more often than not are fluffy and light-hearted - perfect for me to read after a hard and quite often stressful day at work. Don't get me wrong I like a good thriller or whatever too but I don't necessarily want anything too heavy in the evenings and want something that I don't have to think too hard about. I like escapism and chick lit is easy to do just that. I do think Michelle is right though. The term chick lit is used to describe books too often. Not all books that are classed as a chick lit are light-hearted, funny and about 20-something, single, career women. I read a book recently about a happily married woman struggling with post natal depression. It was a fantastic and very insightful read and it was classed as chick lit and had the brightly coloured cover too. I mean how many people would have been put off by that and in the process missed out on a good read because of it?
  2. I started reading Vanish this week and I'm absolutely loving it. I have The Mephisto Club waiting to be read too and will definitely be tracking down your others. Thanks for taking the time to answer everyone's questions.
  3. Same here. I'll keep an eye open for it in the library or I may get the paperback version if I haven't already read it by then but I'm not going to bother too much about it in the meantime.

  11. I think there was a full moon last night actually.

  13. I just realised there's another thread about this sunject - here - mods can you join them together?
  14. When I was younger I used to have multiple books on the go but now I like to just stick to one at a time, otherwise I think it would get confusing.

  16. Welcome to BCF Natalie!
  17. I keep meaning to watch this when it's repeated on Sky Three but keep forgetting.
  18. Yep, I'd go with Aaron or Michael.
  19. Damon Lindlelof and Carlton Cuse (the producers of the show) apparently confirmed a while ago in one of their podcasts that Aaron wasn't classed as one of the Oceanic 6 although I don't listen to the podcasts so can't confirm that. My guess is that the 6th one is Michael and he's the one that ends up in the coffin that we saw in the Season 3 finale flashback.
  20. If you look closely at Jin's gravestone he died September 22nd 2004 so it looks like to all intents and purposes he died the day of the crash, but like you say Michelle, it will be interesting to find out what the real story is.

  24. I have to admit to really liking PS I Love You but found If You Could See Me Now and Where Rainbows End pretty disappointing. I have A Place Called Here waiting to be read.
