  1. I have the postal receipt, so I had better get on to the Post Office.

  2. How lovely to meet someone from the north-east on here. My mother was born in Ryhope, near Sunderland, which was formerly in Co.Durham, now in Tyne & Wear. So I have always maintained a soft spot for the area. Hope you are enjoying the BCF, love your avatar

  3. That spider was in my bath just as I was going to turn on the shower and I ran out screaming. OH just reached for the camera. Have you noticed the hairs on its legs??Eough!!!!

  4. Welcome YB77. I hope you will like this forum and look forward to reading any posts you make. What kind of books do you read?

  5. They never do even when they are all grown up. The best thing that happened to me on my birthday was my grandson ringing me to wish me a Happy birthday as soon as he got in from school without being told to!! He is nearly 16.

  6. I wonder where in the North East you are?? My mother's family came from the Sunderland area and I have friends in Alnwick. I also love Bamburgh Castle.

  7. I am glad you liked the bridge picture Nici. Midhurst is a really lovely place. One of those villages/towns that typifies England

  14. Hello and many welcomes to you Mouse. You are living in my second place in all the world too live - Ottawa - know it quite well. Lucky you!!!

  15. Hope all goes well for you Charm, Bev just told me about your problem. Lots of love:friends0::friends0:

  16. Sad to say, I no longer have a dog let alone a labrador:irked:. My last one went to the labrador heaven in 1995. I have had 2 labbies in my time and broke my heart when they had to go. The one in the photo is not mine just a photo I found that I liked. Mine were both yellow(golden). Have you read the book Marley and Me? If not please give it a go, you will recognise your dog in it I am sure and it will of course make you cry. If I did get another dog, it would have to be a small dog because at 72, I dont think I would have the strength to handle a labbie. I never pass one in the street, I always make a great fuss of them and labbie owners are the same the world over. I support Dog for the Blind in this country, particularly because my last labbie Luke, was bred from those dogs. Give your dog a hug for me . All the best

  17. Hi Paula, how are you?

  18. fantastic - went up in a helicopter!!. If you find planes exciting, this was a great place to be. I would love to go on that new air bus A380. Rog has got some fantastic photos.

  21. Hi there, thank you for asking me to be your friend WP. I used to have a friend who used to live near Hounslow. Hope you enjoy the forum

  22. Hi Paula, what do you think of the tennis so far? Andy Murray seems to be doing ok so far. Roger Federer is playing like a dream. BBC showed a short documentary of him called "The making of a champion" or something like that. It was really good. He was a proper firecracker when he was young and very spotty (tell Philip) Hope you are all well

  23. Hiya Paula how're you doing? xxx

  24. Thanks Rennie, its a bit difficult to put it at the top at the moment I am in the middle of Mansfield Park and I have "After You'd Gone' from Inver's bookring, then today I received the free book from Headline!!! Phew! But I have made a note of your comments and will consider it when I am looking for a book to read.
