Sorry for the long delay in my reply! Your first post was fine - you didn't need to go to all the trouble of redoing it! I have so little time for reading lately - I've read about 20 pages of my Jane Austen novel in a week.
And I'm barely keeping up with the forum as well.
It's great that your daughters are so motivated in sport. I'm usually so lazy but have been turning that around a bit lately. It makes the world of difference when you exercise for pleasure and not because you feel obligated to.
I'm glad you're enjoying Janis Ian again. I'm listening to Dido at the moment. I find I can never go wrong with her music.

Happy Birthday SBW! I hope you'll drop in again soon. Haven't seen you for a while.

Hi Frankie!
I don't usually see you around here at this time. I'm still at work for the next 15 minutes and then it will be weekend time for me. Yay!! I've been looking forward to it all week.
I hope you have a good weekend.
I'm planning on going to the gym a bit and hopefully I'll start reading The Complete Polysyllabic Spree alongside my other current read. I saw a girl on an exercise bike at the gym reading the other day, so now I might be brave enough to try it too.

Hi Lexie, I'm so sorry about your break-up. I can't imagine how tough it is for you right now. I'm thinking of you and sending many hugs your way. *hugs*

Life is going well thanks Abby! Better than it has in a while, in fact
How are things going in your new apartment? I saw that someone at your work left you an anonymous voucher for books - that is just so nice of them!

I had a lovely birthday. I had my birthday meal with Mum and Dad on Friday (Dad worked the next day, my actual birthday), and Mum took me out for breakfast on Saturday. Then my ex took me out to some book shops and we just generally had a good day spending time together.

Oops, no, I forgot to put it up.
I'll try to do it soon, but I'm running out of my download allowance at home so I might not be able to do it for a while.
I have to try to get in all my BCF activity at work.
My restraint is rapidly leaving me. I now have 7 books waiting to be delivered! I don't know whether to be annoyed at myself or just excited.

Hello HavenKarma! I agree with your thoughts on Australian bookshops. It's very frustrating for us when our dollar is so strong against the US$ but prices never come down.

Do you know that there's a twice-yearly bookfair in Canberra? They have a massive range of secondhand books, often in near-new condition, for around $5 a pop. The next fair is in mid March (Google 'Canberra Lifeline Book fair' for more info).
I can't put into words how big and awesome it is, and what good value for money!
