Hahaha! Sorry to ruin the name. I suppose it's too late to go back and edit the 'stick' out?
About 20 years ago I was a huge fan of Kylie Minogue, but she wasn't very popular in Australia then. Then I went off her music and she became hugely popular. I can't work out whether I'm a trendsetter or just very uncool.
I've sent you two more PMs. I just couldn't say all I wanted to otherwise! Should keep you busy for a while

On the one hand, I love having so many books waiting to be read. I get excited when I look at my bookshelves and think of all the terrific reads I have ahead of me.
But on the other hand, I get frustrated because I know it will be years before I get to most of them and they're all books I really, really want to read. I wish that I could restrain myself a little bit more. If I had a TBR pile of less than 100, I would be much happier, because at the moment I can't see an end to my book-buying, although I'm determined not to go above 500!

Yes, I got it. I just wasn't sure I could believe my eyes. I didn't realise our reality shows were being shown overseas.
I think I missed your post on your new books. I'll have to check it out. I noticed you're reading No 1 Ladies Detective Agency and have been thinking I might get out my copy to read as well. Are you enjoying it so far?

Aw, is that because of your plans for Swaziland falling through? It sounds like you have a lovely day planned and book shopping will definitely cheer you up. I expect to see a post in the Book Activity thread listing lots of lovely books that you've treated yourself to!
I'm a couple of hours into my day here. Just about to head out for morning tea to run some errands. I sold a stack of DVDs on ebay last night to make room for more books on my shelves. And now I have some money to buy more books! Heehee.
Good night!

Aw, thanks I'm all embarrassed now. I also value your opinions highly since I've noticed our similar tastes in books.
And here I was hoping to just dash off a few lines on the last several books I read because I'm short on time, but now that I have a reputation to uphold, I'll have to try harder. The pressure's on!

Aw, thanks Funnily enough, that Facebook photo of yours makes you look so much like one of my best friends from primary school.
I've been meaning to ask about the pronunciation of your name for ages. It seems simple but I'm so bad at pronouncing things...does the first part rhyme with car?

Aw, that sucks. How can people send out books in such bad condition? I'm envious of your purchases though. I've been hearing a bit about the Kelly Armstrong books for a while now, and I have a few Adrian Mole books on my TBR pile. I really need to get to those as well Have you counted the number of books on your TBR pile, or are you too scared of how big it is?
We get a whole lot of British and American shows here, but nothing from Finland or any other European country, except occasionally on one channel but they're few and far between. I wish we had more variety on TV I've never watched the Australian version of Next Top Model but I enjoy the American version, although I think we're several seasons behind America.
I vaguely remember Heartbreak High but I didn't watch a lot of it.
I'm heading to bed now. Good night!

Do you know that there's a twice-yearly bookfair in Canberra? They have a massive range of secondhand books, often in near-new condition, for around $5 a pop. The next fair is in mid March (Google 'Canberra Lifeline Book fair' for more info).
I can't put into words how big and awesome it is, and what good value for money!
