I was not expecting the story to end the way it did, a very well written book full of emotions

I have just finished reading this book and although it was difficult to get into at first, it was a story that made me feel many emotions, happiness, sadness, love...... such a beautiful story, this is a book that I will definitley be passing onto my sister for her to read.

thank you everyone for your replies, still got a pile of other books to read first, but I'm determined to read a few more of Hardy's, think Far from the Madding Crowd will be the next one I attempt

I've read "A Pair of Blue Eyes by Thomas Hardy, took me a while to read it but I got there and loved every page of it. Now I'm wondering which one to attempt to read next. Which one would you recommend ?
