  1. I watched the film IT first then read the book. See my theory on films is watch the films first then read the book. I know it can be lame but I enjoy doing it because the film chops up the book so much when you read the book it expands on everything and makes things exciing to me.

  2. Ann Rice books is something I want to get into. I seen the movies and I enjoyed them but we all know books are tens times better so I defiantely want to read them. Everytime I walk in the bookstore I see Ann Rice books and want to pick them up but end up getting something else. Is Interview With The Vampire the first?

  3. Misery the book is far gorier. I watched the movie before I read the book and still imagine Kathy Bates' character as Annie. Good read though even though it is very graphic.

IT is a very long read but give it time to develop. I loved the movie also and used the basis of that to keep me going. Enjoy the little details King gives of their lives. It isn't just a horror story but has many elements to it.

  4. My friend passed along this book to me. I was very judgemental about it since it was Self Published book as I saw it was published by iUniverse. I have read these types of books before and was displeased with the work. However since I am into fantasy novels I gave it a try. I was very pleased with the book and story. The book is written for young adults but the author intelligently put in hidden meanings that could be enjoyed by adults. There is a lot of talk of social and political issues in the book without actually mentioning them.

Has anyone else read this book? It is very deep and has a good story that makes you want to turn the page. It is good for Political Science majors like me and good for reading a good adventure story. My friend mentioned it is sold on Amazon.com if you want to check it out. I enjoyed it and if you read it I would like to discuss it.

What do you think the adult underlining theme was? Do you think some parts were too intense for young adults? Do you think the four mages represent a part of human nature?

Please there is so much to discuss in this I would like to discuss it.
