    Thanks for the Birthday wishes. I have been in Australia for just over 3 weeks and have just recieved your message. I had a great birthday. We were at Ularu on the day so it really seemed special.

     

    It looks like I have over 4000 post to catch up on. Thanks again. :D

    I would put it to the top of the pile Supergran.

     

    It is funny and sad, and one of the few books that made me shed tears at the end.

     

    It is set in New Hampshire and the narrator is remebering his childhood with Owen Meany.

     

    It is a long book but for me it was a quick interesting read.

    No I don't have a house in the Bahamas, just a two week timeshare. We go every June. It is very nice but I don't think I could afford a house.:blush:

    I don't know HandD. I don't remember any astrology in the book. I would be interesting to find out.

     

    I think the book has been shortlisted for the Booker prize this year. It seems a nice easy book to read so I don't expect it will win. LOL
