  1. Hello Tiger, I hope you're well :D

Copper has asked me to say hello to you and to tell you that she is very busy at the moment as she is going to start school in September (do you remember she has always been home educated apart from 6 months a few years back?) and they are going to put her a year higher than she should be so she will start Yr. 6. She is now working very hard to catch up the year she will miss out!

She will try to pop in again sometime and chat books with you (and pets of course) and sends her love

    Knitnurse and Copper x

  2. BlueMoon I would have sent it to you but I have already sent it to somebody else who was interested.

I know that it feels that the baby is having every last spare bit of everything you have to offer :D Now that mine is nearly 10 .... do you think my grey matter should have regenerated? :D

  3. Ooh, this is hard for me. I am not good with words.

Right. I am interested in quantum physics and the whole idea of time and in this book the aliens see time in a completely different way. We are like people standing in the Grand Canyon with tin helmets on which are obscuring our view, only looking one way and not seeing the whole picture. The aliens can see the whole of the canyon, up, down, front and back, side to side. They see the whole picture. In the same way, they do not focus on death as it is one moment from a life. They say why focus on that small bit, when we should see the whole picture. It's that suggestion that all of time is happening 'at once' and not in a linear way as we perceive it.

  4. It's a genre I came across by chance in that a friend gave me one of Kinsella's 'Shopaholic' books. It was a light fluffy read and I enjoyed it. In fact I've got another 'Shopaholic' on my TBR shelf and have just bought Bergdof Blondes and The Nanny Diaries from Amazon.

I played 'live bookswap' last night on another site and won 'Shopaholic ties the knot'. I've never read one chick lit book I don't think so I'm keen to give it a go. I've heard this one's good

  5. Kell, did you see him on breakfast tv the other morning? Nothing like you would expect, and he was really flummoxing the presenters as he was a huge character

My daughter loves these books. Actually, she is nearly 10. I wonder if she would like to come on here and chat to Tiger  She usually doesn't want to do anything that's MY idea
