I was born at Ashington Matty as well - LOL! My mam still loves in Blyth with my Step-Dad, and my Grom and other family members are all in Ashington and Bedlington. I still get down to visit every now and then. The only time I get the accent back is when I've been talking to other Geordies as I've been up here since I was 11-y-o.

Well, there are two rumours as to why they won't even look for the sex of the baby there any more - the first theory is that a couple of years ago, they got the sex of a baby wrong and the parents had bought everything in a specific gender-based colour, then sued the hospital. The second theory is that certain cultures were aborting foetuses if they found out they were having girls.
on the names thing - we've gone for unusual, but not literary at all!

I am, indeed, SG - I'm prone to passing out anyway, even without being pregnant, so this was pretty much expected. So long as I sit down as low as possible as quickly as I can, I can usually avoid actually passing out - and if I DO black-out, at least I'm already down low and don't have any distance to fall. It's been going on for more than a decade now (and they STILL don't know why!). It can be a bit embarrassing at times, but what can you do, eh? I just try to take things a bit easier and not exhaust myself too much as I get really quite spacey for a while after one of my "episodes".

I had a bizarre dream last night - I was reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and a man stoppd to ask if I was enjoying it and it turned out to be you - LOL!
