Hi, I have been trying to remember the title of a book for years now and only just thought to reach out to somewhere like this to try and get some help. All I can really remember about the book is that it's about a boy, probably high school age, that goes to visit a guru like figure for worldly advice regularly. At one point in the book, the guru is found smoking by the boy who is shocked at this as previously he had been learning about how to better himself and he found this out of character. The guru explains that it's fine for him to be smoking as it is a one off so to speak and that he doesn't smoke regularly. Not much to go on but I feel like this book is a sort of self-help book but via fiction.
