Hi all, I am feeling a little behind on politics and left out when it comes to being able to converse in topics of this nature and would like to find a book that will help bring me up to speed with the american political system, political party, and significant events. Not so much focused or caught up on elementary details like branches and elective terms and such. Just something that will help improve my overall awareness and enable me to become a better participator. It would be great if you could recommend a book or two for me. Thank you!
