I can't say exactly how many books I own, but a very rough guess would put it at around a few hundred perhaps, and that may not include the e-books! I am a self-confessed book-a-holic!!! Much to my changrin! But I think it would safe to say that I am not the only one! Maybe someday I will maybe "actually" count them!!!

Just one at a time. Don't have time to read more than that. Also it can get confusing.

I have found that it is usually the last book in a series that is the best, because it is a cumulation of all the previous books and it brings, I guess, closure. Each book in a series adds to the previous one. Although with some series you can feel sad and at a loss because it has come to an end and you really liked that series of books.

I do like Stand-Alone books sometimes, but really like Series because the story continues and expands and you get more involved with the characters etc. I look forward to the next book if its a Series.

When I have the time and of course, depending on how many pages a book has I can read about 2 to 3 a month.

I tend to buy my books, both paper and e-books over the internet since it is more accessible than a book store. I actually do miss going into a book store and browsing and maybe buying one or two and maybe a bookmark.
Can you read with background noise (tv or people talking for example)?

I sometimes can. It depends on what the backround noise is. If I am alone and it is just the TV then that's okay. Otherwise I prefer to read where it is relatively quiet. Also, as long as no one bothers me . I really hate it when someone is talking to me and asking questions etc. It gets really frustrating that they don't get the hint that I am trying to concentrate on my book and talking is very distracting!!!
