  1. Still reading Someone Else's Son I also was give another book at work today! Gerald Durrell's The Corfu Trilogy which includes My Family and Other Animals, Birds, Beasts and Relatives and The Garden of the Gods.
  2. Well since the end of Feb I've only had one migraine last Monday which was completely down to stress! The new tablets from my GP are doing something Don't get me wrong I've not been totally headache free but they have been manageable with strong pain killers and apart from last Monday I've not lost any days at work since February I was keeping a diary listing everything I did and ate but I've given up as according to my GP I unfortunately don't always have to have a trigger to get a migriane I did a bit of research on the old interwebs and also on advice from GP I now lead a very boring life! I try and go to bed and get up around the same time every day as having a lie in can trigger a migraine as can not having enough sleep, I'm also making sure I eat regularly and drink plenty of fluids, missed meals and dehydration are another cause. I am also avoiding alcohol and if I do partake I am only having a few and I'm completely avoiding red wine (one glass completely ruined my Christmas Day last year I am also avoiding sitting out or going out for too long in the sun as even with good sunglasses can be a cause.

  9. Someone Else's Son by Sam Hayes TV presenter Carrie Kent can't believe the voice on the end of the phone. Surely it didn't just say that her son - her beloved son Max - has been stabbed within his school gates? This sort of thing happens only to the guests on her daily morning chat show. Not to someone like her boy. But when Carrie arrives at the hospital and learns that Max is dead, she is thrown into a nightmare. No one will reveal what really happened and the only witness, a schoolgirl, is refusing to talk. Carrie must enter an unknown world of fear and violence if she wants to find the truth. But can she live with what she discovers? Started - 12/05/11 Finished - 31/05/11 Marks out of 10 - 8.5 Comments: Another great read from Ms Hayes, I have enjoyed all her books to date.
