J'étais un tout petit garçon quand je commençai à lire les nouvelles de Lovecraft et je rêvai à celles que je n'avais pas lues. A quinze ans, j'écrivis une lettre à M. Lovecraft et je lui demandai où je pourrais les trouver. Il m'envoya ses exemplaires personnels avec une liste des livres qu'il avait dans sa bibliothèque et qu'il proposait de me prêter. Au bout de quatre ou cinq lettres, il me suggéra d'écrire moi-même des nouvelles. Mais je suis sûr d'une chose : Lovecraft poursuivra son chemin, dans le temps et dans l'espace, jusqu'à la place qui lui et réservée dans le monde qu'il a créé, et qui durera aussi longtemps que l'homme osera rêver.
