  1. Happy Birthday!

  2. Yes! Stardust is amazing. I can tell that you will love it by looking at your book list! I havn't read the book though. If anyone else has read it...what is it like??? Phoebe x
  3. Cool, I really want to delve deeper into those classic books. As you may have seen in my book list, I am currently reading The Secret Garden. I am also a fan of Jane Austen, so I put a couple of her books on there too. I started reading Pride and Prejudice ages ago and thought it was really good...but I didn't seem to finish it, so I'm defenatly reading that again sometime soon. I have actually read loads of the Jacqueline Wilson books. They are really good im my oppinion. And yes, I am desperate to read Cookie. From what I have heard, it is really good. What do you think of her books?
  4. Yes, I am enjoying The Secret Garden, thank you.
  5. You're most welcome! Hope you like it here - everyone's really nice!

  9. Things I Want My Daughter To Know is supost to be really sad. By what i have heard, the book thief sounds really good. I'll maybe add it to my book list... Phoebe x
  10. Hi everyone, just to let you know, I have finished the book! It wasnt as good as I thought it would be, but The Fountain of Fair Fortune was my favourite. If you have read it, please tell me what you think. I would love to hear your opinions of it. Thank you Phoebe x
  11. Yes, thats right, I wasnt sure if I should have read it, that is why I added the 'Am I reading the right book?' thread. Most of the people here said I should keep going, and The Fountain of Fair Fortune is the best tale I think. Phoebe x
  12. Glad to have a fellow Austen-fan here, Phoebe! I hope you're loving the site. It can be a bit of a faff getting settled in as I well know, but worth the graft of the first few visits.

As lola-rose says there are already Austen threads running, where you can catch up on the views of other folks, and post your own. Have you read JA before? She can be a bit of a challenge for a first-timer to get into, but once comfortable with her style - a wonderful "read".

Hope to see you there, (and about the rest of the site, too) new friend -

    Bye for now - Booknutt
