Maureen
I have just started on this, and the first three chapters are intriguing. I think I'm in for a good read. I have this book! I was hoping to find a discussion about a book I've recently read, but this is good... I'll get back to this discussion once I've read it, as I've been meaning to for ages now. Did you ever read it ii?
Kate
I really enjoyed this book. I found I got the names mixed up sometimes, but I was gripped from the beginning. I didn't guess the end, and I found it so good I read it really quickly. I loved the characters and the how Mosse writes. I still find myself thinking about the book and I read it when it was first published! Highly recommended by me. 9/10 - only thing I would change is the names! Maureen
Just finished this book. I was so caught up with the characters that I hated that the story had to end! I am a bit unhappy now....(till the next good book, of course). Some questions to consider: 1- Who was your favourite character and why? I liked Alais best of all, she had a strong character, did not give up easily, although against all odds and in tough circumstances. 2- Was there a particular part you enjoyed/disliked more than the rest? No, not really - I loved the story. 3- Was this the first book you've read in this genre/by this author, has it encouraged you to read more? Have never read other books by Kate Mosse. Would definately look out for her next one. 4- Were there any parts/ideas you struggled with? Nope. 5- Overall, was reading the book an enjoyable experience? Yes , and I would definately recommend it. Plus the History bits are interesting. Edited July 3, 2008 by Maureen
