sarahdale24
Anyone else like this author? I have to admit everytime I read one of his books, it makes me want to move to NC :-) Anyone else feel that way?
Karen1
I've read a few of his books and have a couple more on my to read pile. Out of the ones I have read I think my favourite has to be The Guardian...so sad at the end.
purple95
I've read a couple or so of his works. "A Walk to Remember" is by far my favorite. I easily related to the high school aged characters. His works are worth searching out. dan
Kylie
"A Walk to Remember" is by far my favorite. I easily related to the high school aged characters. I have this one on my TBR pile. Is it sad like his others?
sarahdale24
I have this one on my TBR pile. Is it sad like his others? Yeah...have you not seen the movie with Mandy Moore?
megan
I think one of my favorites is Around the Bend i think is the name. It was very good and a quick read. All of Sparks' books are good anyway.
Kylie
Yeah...have you not seen the movie with Mandy Moore? No I haven't. I have seen The Notebook though. One of the saddest movies ever!
March
One of my favourite authors. I've read The Notebook, The Wedding (follow up to the Notebook) and At First Sight. I've watched films that are based on his books such as The Notebook, A Walk to Remember and Message in a Bottle. The films and the books never fail to make me cry. Has anyone read his latest book called The Choice?
megan
march, the choice is in my reading pile. I'll let you know if i like it, that is if i get to it before you.
Jazmine
I've read The Choice. It was an easy read. Not one of his best, but still worth it. My fav from him was Notebook.

March
I've finished reading it yesterday. I read it during my lunch hour for the past five days. I have this one on my TBR pile. Is it sad like his others? Yes, it is sad like his other books.
Brandy79
If they make the movie Dear John, then i won't go see it. Because i read the book and thought it was sad. So i don't want to be in the movie theater balling my eyes out. Out of the Nicolas Sparks books, my favorites are: The Guardian The Notebook A Bend in the Road and The Rescue
missmellow
I LOVE nicholas sparks' books! They're all soooo sad, but sooo touching. I haven't read that much of them: A Walk To Remember Dear John True Believer At First Sight (sequel of true believer). The saddest and best of those IMO is At First Sight. I couldn't BELIEVEwho dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear john comes second. I still remember the last sentence of that book... "And for the briefest instant, it felt like we were together again". And they were both looking at the moon... *sniff* Atm i'm reading The Rescue. Good so far...
Shawn
I've finish his "A Walk to Remember" in 2 hours and I was crying like crazy. I quite like it and have been thinking to read another of his books. Any suggestions??
Kell
I just read The Notebook. I'd never read any of his books before (not my usual kind of thing) and was blibbing like a baby. It's an excellent read and well worth trying if you haven't already.
chesilbeach
Hi Shawn - have a look at this thread for Nicholas Sparks which might give you an idea of some other books by this author some of the BCF members have read.

VanessaL
I have 3 of his books, I have tried them, but to me they all have sad endings, I prefer happy endings.
lauraloves
I have The Notebook, The Last Song and Dear John on my TBR pile, really must get around to reading these!
Star
I really want to read one of Nicholas Sparks' books but have no idea where to start. I've seen Dear John & Notebook & blubbed at them both. I think I'll like his novels. Which book would you recommend for a first timer? I love sad stories that really move you. //
Kell
The only one I've read is The Notebook - it was excellent, even though it's not my usual kind of thing to read.
kirbyland1986
yeah I love his books... I always seems to cry when I read his books (not sure if its because I am pregnant and I am more emotional at the moment or it's because they are lovely!)
