Oops! I hope you enjoy them all ! I finished The Humans today. Excellent book. I'm glad you enjoyed it ! I have been reading Jane Eyre for about a week now and I'm quite enjoying it. Most of the week I haven't had time to read it because I've been so busy, but as of yesterday I'm on spring break! So hopefully I can finish out the book in the next few days. The plot is awesome I'm glad you're enjoying Jane Eyre , it's one of my favourite literary / old classics books. Spent the morning ripping through a few of Jason Gurley's short stories, just found out that he used to design Hugh Howey's book covers. Now am trying to finish The Man in the High Castle by Phillip K Dick before the read a thon ends on Sunday... I don't think I will make it! Good luck!! I'm currently reading another book by Geronimo Stilton, because of the read-a-thon. It's Het Jungleboek, a retelling of the original book. I haven't read the original book (by Joseph Rudyard Kipling), but I know the story through the Disney film. Reading this book really makes me want to watch the Disney film again, so I've borrowed my parents' DVD for the occasion and will watch the film at a later time (obviously I want to finish the book first). The DVD has English and Dutch audio.. I've only ever heard the Dutch version so I'm in a dilemma whether to use the English or the Dutch audio.. I might try both and see what I feel like. I thought it was really good, and I'll definitely be getting Half Wild when it's published. I can't decide between Half Bad and The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender for my favourites of the teen category so far. I've just finished Cowgirl so I'll be reading Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neill next, which is the last of the books I have from the teen category to read. I didn't have any sort of expectations about the book (probably the best way), and it hooked me straight away. I hope you enjoy them all ! Thanks, Gaia! It's really great, isn't it When I picked up this book at the library, I was chatting with the librarian, and she said this as good, but she thought it wasn't quite as good as the Rosie Project. I finished one chapter and thought 'I'll just read a page or two of the next chapter', and before I knew it I had finished that one too. Excellent book! It's so easy to read .. it's like he's chatting to you .. very relaxed style .. and he's funny Glad you're enjoying it Kylie Getting towards the end of Murder Most Unladylike .. excellent .. I am hooked I don't know how many of these there will be but it's Flavia all over again .. I'm in for the long run Read about 50 pages of Murder on the Orient Express .. there hasn't been a murder yet but I'm expecting it Finished The Girl on the Train (blimey .. I've just noticed that's two train books and three murders .. spooky! ) A very good read indeed (or a listen in this case) .. so absorbing. That's what I've heard, about the ending, makes me a little leery. I'm glad it was a good audio, they are very fulfilling when done correctly. I am getting a late start on The Man in the High Castle so not sure about getting that finished by tonight, for the read a thon... but I plan on reading a lot today. I've also decided to put together a book jar like so many of you on here to help me pick when I'm stuck, which has lead to a sorting of mount TBR. I've not read it but I loved Joe's First Law trilogy and the book is in the house somewhere. Actually not sure it is in my jar .. must put that right Roughly how many books will be in your jar? The first third/half of the book was ok but not what I am used to in a Thursday Next book. However, the last half was very, very good and met my expectations. You can see my thread for the rating. Athena Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 I started to read Jacqueline Wilson - Four Children and It which contains some parallels with the famous book Five Children and It (the original is even mentioned in this book, the main character is (re-)reading it and really likes it). So far it's enjoyable and I look forward to see where the story will go. I haven't read the original book myself so I don't really know.
