Kylie
Murakami published a novella called The Strange Library in 2008, and it's going to be translated into English. Details here. According to the link: '...it's as mind-bending as you might expect, telling the scare-filled tale of a boy taken hostage in a library by an old man who forces him to memorize a number of books with the eventual idea of eating his brain to absorb that information. Soon the boy plans to break out with the aid of a girl and, yes, a doughnut-making man dressed as a sheep'.Sounds good! It looks like the release date will be 2 December 2014. Kylie
I guess the publishers have decided that English-speaking/reading fans of Murakami deserve to read everything Murakami has written, because they've also announced that they're going to retranslate and republish Murakami's first ever book (a novella) that was originally published in 1979. It's called Hear the Wind Sing. It will be published next year. I've edited the topic title accordingly.
