Looking for a book about Alaska or Canada

Hello, my name is Julia and I'm new here in forum.

 

I am looking for a book about Alaska or Canada. There should be
not guidebook, but something like books from Jack London, about nature
and animals, gold fever time. Who knows any book or writer, please let

I remember, many years ago, my dad reading Alaska by James A. Michener, but I haven't read it myself.  Might be worth a look.

Welcome Zajchik to the forum. Perhaps not the first to mind given your criteria, ''The Outlander' by Gil Adamson may be worth considering nonetheless. Set in 1903,written with skill and flair and stretched out across a wild and unforgiving Canadian landscape, I would recommend having a cursory look if nothing else.

This might not be exactly what you're looking for, but here goes: The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney. Set in Canada in the 19th century. Murder mystery. Harsh winter, survival stuff. Great read
