  1. Oh I haven't read those 3 novels but I have read All Quiet on the Western Front which is a pretty good WWI novel as well.
  2. A series that is good as well is the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop and also duology Landscapes of Ephemera. I also just discovered Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.
  3. Hey how have you been? I haven't been on heaps because of school :( bah! good thing i graduate on November. can't wait.

  4. I havent been up to much really since i've just been concentrating on school work because i have exams and lots of homework and assignments. :( what have you been up to?

  5. Yes! i loved them when I was a kid. I had some of their books (i think theyre somewhere here or it's overseas) but yeah. I loved Nancy Drew as well. I think I remember there being a series where they actually worked together on cases.
  6. hey :) how have you been?

  7. OMG! i collect heaps of notebooks that have good covers and i just use them for a journal or just lists of random things lol
  8. Yeah :) although personally Molly Ringwald movies are the best :)

  9. I've been alright. except 12th grade in Australia is a bit hard. I got mistaken for being American when I first came here which was a bit amusing. I'm from the Philippines but have a distinct American accent (every Filipino does) so they thought I was american. The workload is astounding!

  10. Yeah sorry about that Roxi. I was writing these and the ideas just popped into my head so I kind of didn't think of where they should be. I liked Claudia, since I could relate to her we're both Asian (except I'm not Korean) but same diff. I like Kristy's attitude though and Dawn was awesome
  11. hello :) just dropped by to say hi. how have you been?

  12. oh yeah what's your URL on facebook? just seeking to add more friends :)

  13. Bonjour! Merci beaucoup for that message. No one has called me pretty before lol. I've always wanted to go to France as well. The Eiffel Tower, the Tuileries and the Louvre are awesome. Where in France do you live atm? I know some basic French phrases because my grandmere is fluent at french although she is from the philippines. we moved here in Australia just 3 years ago.

Talk to you again sometime :)

  15. lol contrary to my sister's account of my chick-lit adventures, i dont read just chick-lit. I like other stuff as well such as english literature classics such as Jane Austen, D.H. Lawrence, etc. My tastes are varied but i dont like reading sci-fi :)

  16. It has two names because they altered the title in the US lol. Anyways, the series was good i have all of them and will read them after I have finished re-reading my Nicholas Sparks collection.
  17. Oh and Vanity Fair was alright, wasn't my cup of tea but was quite fun to read because of the anti-heroine sort of diverted me from the heroine who is always gentle and kind.
  18. Yeah I was really disappointed with Wide Sargasso Sea as well. I thought it was the anti-Jane Eyre and would talk about Rochester as the anti-hero but it just didn't sink in as much.
  19. Has anyone ever read the Sweet Valley Kids, Twins, High, etc. series? They were really big in the 90s when I was a little kid, and they revolved around these twins called Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, and their batch of friends and family. Was a really great series. They were written by Francine Pascal by the way. Another good series for teens and kids is the Baby Sitters Club by Anne Martin. The novels revolve around 10 friends who put up a club for baby sitters and operate it as a business. really good and an inspiring series. The club consisted of Claudia, Stacey, Kristy, Mary Anne, Dawn, Jessi, Mallory,Logan, Shannon and Abby.
  20. well i have all of Sophie Kinsella's novels even the latest one, I have 2 Gossip Girl novels, I have 2 Monica McCaffertys, 4 Meg Cabots, heaps of Nicholas Sparks. I used to be a bookshop junkie but because I'm a senior in high school still, it's hard to find the time to trawl through the shops. I choose my novels by the blurb, although I have this strange habit to look at the last sentence of the ending of the novel, some people find it ruins the novel, but I don't see it as a form of spoiler.
