  1. My sister lent me a Lee Child book a few months ago. Can't remember what it was called, the story involved a serial killer that targeted former female soldiers, and the FBI were involved. Enjoyed the book well enough and have bought my sister a couple of his other books as she loved it and it was so different from her ususal choices. Having read some of the comments here, I think I would be tempted to read some of the early Jack Reacher books, but I don't think it's something I should overload on!!!!!
  2. If you like Johnny Depp that much, have you ever watched '21 Jump Street'? It was a TV series way back in the early 90's. I used to watch it very Sunday night on Sky one with my best friend from school. Johnny Depp, yummy!!
  3. Maybe I'll look that one up. I reckon I'll be finished by current book in the next day or so, so i'll be needing something to add to my tbr pile.

    Your Age?

I can't seriously get away with saying I'm 21, 26 is just about viable!! Besides, I really enjoyed being 26, it was a good year for me
  5. I thought her book: "The Perfect Husband" was excellent, but I've still got "Alone" on my TBR pile.

  6. Hi, I've just finished it a couple of days ago. A friend lent it to me and it was quite good. It turned into a bit of a page-turner but then I was a bit disapointed at the ending. Never read any of her books before, but I'd certainly read them again.

  7. Hi and welcome! Are you enjoying Alone? - I've not read that 1 yet!

  8. There used to be one on the London Underground, where a little girls ragdoll got caught on the bottom of the escalator. It totally freaked me out as I used to have to go to London once a month with my Mum. She never did understand why I was so scared of the escalator!! I was telling my niece the other day about the one with the frisbe and the electricity pylon, she looked at me like I was talking another language!!
  9. It doesn't take much these days to make me blub!! 'Tuesday's with Morrie' and 'Five people you meet in heaven' were both amazing and I cried because I loved them so. 'Hannah's Gift' because it was such a heartbreaking mother's story. I loved being moved to that extent by a book, although I love films, i think it's so much more powerfull to be moved by someones words and your own imagination.
  10. I have the complete set of Ally McBeal, I know, sad single female!! I also have various CSI box sets but the original one set in Vegas is my favorite. Although I do have to admit to having a crush on Gary Sinise(?)who plays Mac in CSI New York.
  11. Thank you Mia! I'm not going mad then?! Didn't they also sing "You'll never put a better bit of butter on your knife"

    Your Age?

I tell everyone that I'm 26, it's a little white lie I've been telling people for quite some time now! I seriously have to think before giving my age as I have a tendancy to forget it..... it must be my age!!
  13. My district manager told me I worked too hard and needed to get a hobby!! I decided on a book club as I love reading but i wasn't brave enough to go out to the real world and discover one, so i Googled it!! There's plenty out there but when reading through this one, it seemed so friendly and had a sense of community about it. So I'm still here and I still work too hard!!

    Hi everyone

    Hello and welcome Smint!
  15. Does anyone remember the CountryLife butter ad's from way back? There used to be men made from butter that would come to life from the tub and sing and dance like morris men?! Reading that back makes it sound crazy I know, but Im sure it was for real!!
