    Hi Frankie!

It's nice to see more people from Finland in here. How did you come across the forum? Just wanted to drop by and say Tervetuloa!

  2. Hi,

it's so nice to see more people from Finland in here! So... Tervetuloa! I hope you don't mind me asking, exactly where is "Easter Road"? I was just wondering if it's anywhere near where I live...

Glad to have you on the forum!

It's good. It was on the back burner for the summer, though, as I was busy (ha! right. I was vacationing. But don't tell DD.), but I'm back on it as we speak. I have a new graduation date now and that's always good. I need a deadline. My NHL contacts have come through beautifully! I love them!

Oh, not working is always good, when it comes to loaded study schedules. Seriously, it's worth the loan, if only in the money you'll save later on therapist bills. And I'm happy to hear you got away from that awful job!

    Hi!

Poor you! I've often found that the moves themselves aren't that bad, it's the inconveniences that occur (such as the lack of Internet). Are you taking normal classes this fall or still independent study?

Hihihii... fashion, complicated? Never! *falls of the chair, laughing* Well, I wanted to give some starting points for the conversation, not just write "fashion, what do you think?", you know?

Well, I'm stuck on a sofa (sorry! didn't mean to rub that in.) with a badly twisted ankle, so I have nothing but time on my hands. And heaven's forbid I should use it smartly and write my thesis!

  5. ii

    Hi,

    how did the move go?

I made a fashion topic, with you in mind, but maybe you didn't notice it. On the other hand, it seems everyone's giving me the cold shoulder in here so maybe you did. Rather interesting, I must say. But I just hoped to get it clear so I'll know if it's worth my time to bother anymore...

Anyways, just wanted to drop you a note...

    Hi!

No, I haven't, sorry. I've been away, then somewhere else away, then I got back only to take off again. I don't know why people say summer is for rest and relaxation, I have a social calendar busier than ever! But I'm enjoying myself, so I'm good, thank you.

    And you? How are you?

  7. I'm fine, thank you!

And you? From the little bits I've seen on the forum there's some drama going on with you, right? (Or did I get everything all mixed up again?) Are you okay?

Thank you, it means a lot to hear I've been missed. Maybe I'll be around a bit more now that I'm back and closer to my computer.

While I'm flattered that you'd think me being up to something is a sign of great evil, the truth is nowhere near as fashinating. I was simply away a lot, spent a bit over a week in Southern France and thereabouts on our annual "Boat Week" (we insist on calling the yacht a 'boat', as we know it drives J crazy. It's seriously a huge bad-a** yacht.) and then flew in to spend Independence Day with DD and his friends... So, I've just been away...

And really there hasn't been much to say around here... And that, I believe, goes for both prospero and me.

Glad to know I've been missed, though. I did feel slightly ignored before the Boat Week around here...

  9. ii

    Awww, thank you.

I have an American passport. Thus, not French on paper, see? I was about 6 months old when we moved to Paris.

Oh, it's still on. We once had a game going for four weeks!

Nothing to get into in here.

Oh, you sure? It's a nice butt! (22 years of football and ice hockey makes a nice butt...) ... Okay.

Well, technically, no. I grew up in France, in Paris. My mother was French, you see. So in a lot of ways I'm French. But not on paper.

  11. ii

Oh, no no, it's a longer story.

Oh, I saw your thread about that, I hope things get better today at the doc's!

It's the "same letters for all" version, so I can't even blame bad luck... And BF's not playing 'cause we're playing in French, so I'm not even kicking his butt. hmmm... BF's butt... *gets lost in daydream* (we had Bellini's for breakfast)

  12. ii

    Thank you!

I'm fine, thank you. Taking a beating in Scrabble, but other than that, I'm great. And you?

You're brave to befriend me, I thought I'm very much in the dog house...

  13. I like your new profile... *grin* How's the Iliad?

  14. ii

    Thank you!

I like it too. The overtly "fake" colors, (i.e. no natural neutral shades) made it a bit difficult, so I decided to embrace the summer's trend of brights.

I like yous too, very calm and peaceful.

  15. ii

Well, I have the most spacious flat, biggest dinner table and I'm the best chef. Plus i love hostessing dinner parties, or any parties for that matter. I'm throwing my friend a graduation party a week from now...

  16. ii

Thank you! I did, in fact. I hosted a fancy dinner party to a group of friends, including my BF, so it was fun.

  17. ii

Ah. Well, if you get some reading done, it can't be that bad...

  18. ii

Oh, hello! how are you? How's the new job working out?

  19. Sorry! hahahaa... Well, at least it's different, no?

And sorry about the lack of pics, I don't like posting my pics on the Internet...

  20. ii

    Oh, hello! How are you?

  21. ii

    It's good to be back!

I should be doing school work, but I'm stuck in here. I claim I have the right after having to watch Team Finland getting a b*tt-kicking from Team Canada last night...

  22. Inver, actually it was pretty easy in the end. the "unnatural" colours made it easy to decide to go full-on brights, and the gray came to balance it all.

    Kell - thank you!

  23. Thank you, all.

  24. I don't know if you can call it "artistic flare" but I've done it... I usually prefer more "natural" shades, so I went full-on candy colors, with the gray to play them off... I'm not sure if I really like it, though...

  25. Oooh, piling on the pressure, are you? Must go get a Coke and get to work, then...
